Violet moved to the beat of Riley Clemmons's Better For It while she waited for Derrik to show up. She was dressed in black leggings and her Dance Team jacket (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/107664247327631191/) and an Under Armour headband was perched on her head. Her ponytail whipped around as she danced, ignoring the outside world.

Derrik walked through the door with a hood over his head from the sweatshirt he was wearing and a bag slung over his shoulder. "Sorry I'm late,"

Violet jolted to a stop and paused the music. "Hey!" she greeted, wiping the sweat off her forehead.

"Hey," he smiled a little. "I have iced latte or lemonade. Which one do you want," in his other hand he held a drink carrier.

"Oooh… lemonade," she decided, giving him an energized smile.

He handed her the cup and gladly took the iced latte.

She sipped through the straw. "Mmmm…" she hummed happily, closing her eyes.

"How long have you been here?" he was trying to gauge just how late he was this time.

"Oh, I don't know… twenty… twenty-five minutes? But I wanted to come a little earlier to practice the move where I twirl and go low," she said casually.

"Ah," he nodded in understanding. "Need some help with that?"

(I was listening to that song earlier, lol)

"Yes, please," she replied, a smile lighting up her features.

"Well, what are you waiting for?" he smiled brightly.

Violet put down her lemonade and skipped out onto the dance floor. She hit play on her phone and Groove Is In The Heart started to play. "C'mon!" she called, motioning for him to join her.

He smiled brightly and ran to her side. “Okay okay. I’m here,”

She grinned and assumed the starting position.
