Jemma put her hands down, still ready to dart if she needed to. "Why are you hiding in the shadows?"

Xander didn’t know what to do, as he was unable to speak, he stayed in the shadows for fear of being hurt by the sun. He pointed to his mouth, then shook his head, trying to say that he couldn’t speak.

"I don't think he can talk." Izabela points out.

"Oh." Jemma said. "Okay."

"Do you by any chance know sign language?" Izabela asks, looking at Jemma.

"Uh…..yeah. It's a mandatory thing for me–my cousin's deaf." Jemma explained.

"Okay… could you talk to him?" Izabela asks sarcastically.

Xander nodded quickly and smiled. He signed, ‘Sign language, yes!’

Jemma smiled. So can you tell me why you were in the shadows? She singed back.

Xander wondered if he should tell them, but decided it was safe. ‘The sun hurts’ he signed.

"The sun hurts. Alright, then." Izabela remarks.

Jemma picked up on the little bit of sarcasm in Izabela's voice. She rolled her eyes. Are you an Inhuman? She singed.

Xander frowned softly at the sarcastic girl. ‘Yes, I am. I’m guessing that you and the other girl are too?’

I am, but I'm not sure about her. I only met her like, five seconds ago.

‘Oh, I see. My name is Xander, you are?’ He was easier to see now, lingering at the edge of the shadows.

Jemma. Nice to meet you Xander. You from around here?

‘It’s nice to meet you too. No, I’m not from around here, I tend to move around often.’ He shrugged his shoulders.

(Okie dokie.)
Okay. How long have you been here?

‘Around two weeks, maybe. Why?’ Xander’s head tilted to the side in question.

Ashira was walking around the city when something blue passed her. She could have sworn it was a frost giant, although why would one be on midgard? She tried to follow it but failed in doing so, instead she found a hideout. There were 3 people in the room, or at least she thought there were 3 people one of them was hidden in the shadows.

Jemma turned for a brief second and saw a girl. "GAHH!! WHAT THE HECK! Why do people keep sneaking up on me today?"

Xander grimaced at the yelling and turned his head to look at the newly arrived person.
