He sighed and looked at Tyler. “So, I should stay home?” he asked, still not wanting to leave Betty's side.
Tyler nodded
Lysander sighed again, shaking his head. He really didn't want to leave Betty alone but he could understand Tyler's concern. With his limp and the kids, someone needed to stay… He looked back at Tyler again. "Are you alright?" he asked, wondering if she needed to go to the hospital too.
She nodded " I'm fine Henry go with her" she said
Lysander raised a brow. "Umm, Tyler… Henry left just before the sirens pulled up." he reminded her. "But if you're sure…" he almost smiled at the thought of going with Betty.
Tyler shook her head " right " she said. " Betty will be fine"
Lysander smiled a little more and nodded. "I think I'm starting to believe you."
" but only if you let her go" she said
He nodded again and looked at their hands before slowly releasing his grip, pausing for a moment to quickly place a kiss on his wife's knuckles.
The paramedics rushed Betty to the ambulance
Lysander leaned against the wall as they left, taking most of the weight off his leg.
Tyler sighed
Lysander looked over at her. “You sure you’re alright, Tyler? I can imagine it's been a hectic day for you too.”
"I'll be okay " she said
He nodded. “Alright… But maybe you should sit down. We still have those support pillows from when Betty was pregnant.” he offered.
She nodded
He smiled a little and carefully walked over to the closet to grab one of those pillows for her.
She closed her eyes
He groaned a little as he had to stretch to get the pillow. “So much easier when I could fly.” he muttered before bringing it over to Tyler.
" i could have gotten it" she said
“It’s ok. It gives me something to do.” he assured her. “I hate feeling useless.”
" your not useless your ill" She said
“And I’m human.” he added as he set the pillow on the couch for her. “So, I’m really on the low rungs.”
" you should rest" Tyler said
