Lysander let out a small sigh as he heard Betty’s confession. It almost felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. He turned to her with a shy smile. ”Do you mean that, Betty?” he asked with adoration in his eyes.
She walked over to Lysander lacing thier fingers " every word" she said.
”I love you too.” Lysander told her happily and kissed her hand that was entwined with his.
”Well, I think that settles everything.” Henry smiled as he strode to the door. ”Have a nice life, Mr. Strange.” he said fully prepared to close the door on the man’s face.
" bye dad" she said as the door closed then kissed lysanders cheek.
Henry smirked a little as he shut the door, very happy for his brother and Betty.
”I don't think your father likes me anymore.” Lysander chuckled, not really caring about that man's opinion of him.
"as long as you still like is all I care about " Betty said.
”I’ll always love you.” Lysander promised. ”And if you ever want to visit your brothers again, I won't stop you.”
" thank you " she said. And kissed him quickly but gently.
”Of course, love.” Lysander chuckled softly. ”I know they mean a lot to you and I want you to be happy.”
" I'm happy here… with you" she said.
”Then may I ask you a question, properly?” Lysander asked as he took a knee and reached into his pocket, pulling out a small black box.
She gasped with a smile.
Lysander smiled at her and opened the box revealing a ring made of white gold with a purple Amethyst with two small blue diamonds on either side of it. ”Will you marry me, my darling angel?”
"yes a thousand times yes" she said.
Lysander slowly stood up and kissed her, wrapping his arms around her. He was certain he had never been this happy in his entire existence.
”Congratulations!” Henry smiled genuinely. ”To both of you.”
Betty kissed him back gently but quickly.
Lysander smiled and pulled back slightly, lifting the ring to Betty's finger. ”May I?”
She nodded " you may" she said.
He gently slid the ring on to her finger.
Her eyes turned white visions of her and lysanders wedding flashed in her mind her eyes turned normal and she smiled.
”Everything alright, Betty?” Lysander asked, seeing her eyes turn white.
" great" she said.
Lysander hummed contentedly at her answer with a small smile.
”Do you guys want me to give you some time alone?” Henry asked, feeling a little awkward like he was intruding on the two of them.
Betty turned to Henry and hugged him.
Henry was surprised by the sudden action but smiled and returned the gesture. ”You could have just said that you wanted me to stay.” he chuckled. ”I really am happy for you, Bets.”
