He tried to bring the heat to a bearable level but not hot enough to hurt. He needed to control this.

Betty´s eyes turned white the heat rising surrounding them as she lifted them off the ground and a fire surrounded them in the air.

The heat in his hands flickered, reflecting his surprise, dropping almost back to normal before flaring a little hotter than when they were on the ground. He quickly willed the extra heat away and brought it back to the bearable temperature he had been focusing on.

¨Fire is powerful It can be good ¨ she said showing him an illusion of people gathered around a fire ¨Or very bad¨ she said showing him herself burning due to Lysander´s power.

”I know.” he said softly, trying not to think about the second image but not disregarding it.

Lysander hadn't intended to actually create fire, so he was very surprised but tried to maintain his control… Until Betty entwined their fingers. He quickly tried to pull the fire away from her, extinguish it all together for now and just concentrate on the heat.

He was once again surprised by the kiss but returned it gently.

He smiled softly at her words. ”I’m glad.”

Slowly the fire began to die out and her eye color turn back to normal

He let the heat die-off and carefully moved his hands to steady her as they landed on their feet.

" it'll be okay I promise" she said

”Am I still forbidden from touching you, my love?” he asked, hoping that she had changed her mind.

She shook her head" No' she said

He sighed in relief and kissed her. ”Thank you.”
