”I’m not complaining. Excuse me for being a little nostalgic for how this place looked the last time I was here.” Henry rolled his eyes at Tyler's snappish attitude. Normally, he’d have a little fun poking at her temper but right now they had something more important to focus on.

Henry growled softly in annoyance. ”Fine. Let's just get this over with so we can go home before your baby is born.” he whispered, reminding her that Betty was miraculously six months pregnant thanks to Tyler's magic.

She rolled her eyes and groaned in frustration " I don't see what your problem is" she said

”Unless you're a therapist, I doubt you want to hear my centuries worth of problems.” Henry snarked. ”But right here, right now, my problem is that I’m stuck on a retrieval mission with you and your attitude, hoping that this spellbook is actually worth it.” he huffed.

”Hey! It's thanks to me that we made such good time getting here.” Henry pointed out. ”You’re lucky I didn't drop you in the Atlantic. And I’m your best chance of getting back to the States without any legal hassle. You need me. Whether you like it or not.” he smirked a little before leaning to whisper in her ear. ”Besides, we both know you enjoyed our time together.”

She pushed him away "I could have gotten here on my own thank you I don't need you Henry I don't need any body okay? I can take care of myself I have magic remember dumbass"

He chuckled at being pushed, it almost tickled. ”Trust me, my little witch, I didn't forget. But do you know how much a round trip to Europe costs? I’m loaded so I don't have to worry about that but you should probably save your money for the kid.”

Now this was more what he expected from someone strong and stubborn, like her, when he started teasing. He couldn't stop the devious smirk this time. ”Fine. Just stay close. You’re no good to anyone dead.”

She sniffled and wiped the tear that fell with the back of her hand

Henry blinked in surprise as he noticed her actions, the smirk dropped away immediately. Shit. That's not what I wanted. Did I go too far? he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. ”I’m sorry.” he said softly.

She rolled her eyes and walked a bit faster

He sighed and let her walk ahead, giving her some space but not losing her.

She crossed her arms biting her quivering lip

Henry was trying to figure out why he always seemed to do this. Why he was such a jerk to people he cared about and how to make up for it… Maybe find a way to stop altogether.

" we turn left up here by the bridge" she said

He looked up quickly as he heard her speak to him again. ”Ok.” he nodded and took a few quick steps to catch back up to her, but still let her lead.

Tyler sighed unfolding her arms letting them drop to her side clenching her hands into fist
