(Lol. I'll drop Tara off then you'll have something to do)
Tara took a deep breath and sat down on the towel.
Darren sat close to her, leaning back using his hand for support, it was close to Tara's but no contact was made.
Tara smiled as she looked up at the stars. "There's always a bigger picture." She whispered, mostly to herself.
Darren's attention turned up to the sky as well, "They are beautiful," He stated, his fingers slipping over hers gently.
Tara took in a sharp breath, but quickly relaxed. She slid herself a little closer to Darren. "I remember star gazing in Australia with my grandfather. He always took me out to this enclosed spot on the beach, and we were far enough away from the town that you could see that stars clearly. It was breathtaking every single time." She whispered softly.
"That's amazing. It sounds like you two were very close," Darren slid himself over slowly until their sides were touching, the contact was nice.
Tara sighed, tensing slightly, but not shifting away. "Yeah. We were." She whispered. "He was there for me through everything."
"I know what that's like," he sighed his response, "He's waiting for you, you'll see him again,"
(I apologize for my child's awkwardness)
Tara nodded, biting her lip and hesitating before she tentatively put her head on Darren's shoulder. She stayed silent, not wanting to weigh him down with anything else.
(No it's actually funny and rather adorable)
Darren smiled and put an arm around her, he felt like they had known each other far longer the few days they had.
(Ye it is and now I regret giving her the backstory I did……this gon' be one heck of a train reck)
Tara smiled contentedly. Finally she checked her watch. "Holy Macaroli Darren it's almost midnight!" She exclaimed.
Darren sighed, he was hoping she wouldn't notice. "Oh! You're right! Do you wanna go?"
"I wish I could stay but I do have work tomorrow. And so do you." She reminded Darren as she looked up at him.
"Right," He nodded and stood up offering a hand to help her do the same, "We'll have to pick this back up sometime?"
Tara raised her eyebrow as she grabbed his hand. "Are you asking me on a second date?" She asked.
Darren suddenly got nervous, now he was the one blushing, "Well I mean, i-if you want to. Y-Yeah that was my intention,"
Tara smiled brightly. "Ha-ha! Now look who's blushing?" She said triumphantly. "Yes Darren, I would love to go out with you again." She added.
Darren smiled, "Sweet. And yes, I know but I'm not the one who's been blushing all night!"
Tara blushed again. "Touche." She replied as she started for Darren's car.
Darren followed her and got in and drove, stopping outside her house. He got out with intentions of walking her to her door.
Tara smiled as she got out of the car and looked around the apartment building's parking lot. I hate parking lots. Tara shook it off quickly.
Darren walked beside her, his fingers brushing hers as they walked.
Tara silently slipped her hand into Darren's intertwining their fingers. She hoped that Abby hadn't stayed up for her or she could be in serious trouble.
Darren grinned as he held her hand, they stopped outside her door, "So here you are I suppose,"
(I must sleep. Is that okay?)
