(And Devi turned into a hawk in the elevator)
(Kay I'll bring my character in in a moment.)
"So, how did it happen?" Devi asked.
Benji fixed himself a nice cup of rose lemon tea and sat down at his kotatsu, reading a novel from America, of all things. It had a rather silly notion of samurai's, making them seem like ninja's with swords who screamed hyah. He hadn't known English when he first came, but over the years, he'd studied many different languages such as German, Russian, Nordic, Spanish, French, English, Chinese, Korean, Hindu, Farsi, Arabic, Dutch, Polish, Italian, and just a touch of Mande.
"I… Uh…" She winces as the place on her head where she was first punched throbs, "M-murdered?" It so weird saying that allowed
"Yeah, pretty much. I was killed, what, three hundred, four hundred years ago?"
Alexis picked up her longsword, noticing a girl. She decided to ignore her. She probably didn't want to be intterupted.
It was the second day of being… dead.
Dead.
Dead? I am… dead. Jason thought studying his palm.
What a weird concept, to be dead. Yet… not quite… dead.
"Yeah, pretty much. I was killed, what, three hundred, four hundred years ago?"
"400 years ago?" Meera's eyes grow wide and takes a step back
"Well, rounding up. Give or take a decade."
"What the h-" She mouths, "You've been here all this time? Where is here? Am I staying here for eternity then?"
"Pretty much."
"Benji?" Hunding entered the room. Benji looked up, hair not tied up as usual, but flowing freely down his back.
"Yes?" the words came naturally to him. All of them did, every language.
Hunding cleared his throat. "There was a new arrival yesterday. He's in your hall. I was wondering if….?"
"If I could guide him around?" Benji finished, staring at him blankly.
Hunding smiled, "Yes, since you're experienced and all."
Benji gave a brief nod and stood up. "Where is he?"
"I don't know."
"That's not satisfactory, is it?"
"Let me show you 'round. It's a pretty neat place, and I know all the secret tunnels."
(BTW @ScarletAndHerSides it's Jason they're talking about)
Jae ran wildly through the hallway, her hair whipping about her face. "Can't go any farther." She thought, panting. She reached her room and flung the door open, running to the table next to the artificial mountainside. She yanked the drawer open and rummaged frantically through it until she found what she was looking for. Finally. The minibar key.
Alexis popped out into the lobby after having taken one of the terrifyingly convienient mantinence hallyways somewere new. They seemed to just appear and disappear whenever she needed them, and they kind of freaked her out. She saw a girl looking around in fright, probably new.
(@ScarletAndHerSides I can't see what Jason looks like, can you plz describe him for me?)
"Pretty much."
Meera stares at the woman infront of her
"Well, I'll show you the ropes. Lesson one: If you're dying slowly, don't stay alive, just let yourself die or kill yourself, or even let someone else finish you off. No shame in surrender."
"Well, I'll show you the ropes. Lesson one: If you're dying slowly, don't stay alive, just let yourself die or kill yourself, or even let someone else finish you off. No shame in surrender."
Meera stares at her, "What?!"
"You're gonna come back to life. So if you've been stabbed, or a leg cut off, just die. It's not worth the trouble of healing, mind you."
"You're gonna come back to life. So if you've been stabbed, or a leg cut off, just die. It's not worth the trouble of healing, mind you."
Meera makes a sort of choking sound in the back of her throat
"Lesson two: Don't hesitate to kill someone."
(⊙_⊙') "Wut?"
