((thank you ^^;;)
“Oh no, I get it,” Emery mumbled. They were still still shaking off their anxiety about the Pearl ship. “Eh, beats me. Something with a bunch of singing and shanties, I guess.”
They started going through their options of where Min and Bastien might be. They only went down a few minutes ago, so they may still be somewhere in the forecastle, or possibly on the main deck below.
Bastien paused as he heard voices. He spent a moment trying to figure out who it was before realizing it was probably Emery and Fraust, unless one of the others had gotten really good at impersonating them. He could certainly try to convince them to join the fun, but what if they had been sent by Luna to make sure that he wasn’t doing anything he wasn’t supposed to? Only one way to find out, he supposed. He walked in the direction of the voices, readying an alibi in his head.
“Hey guys, what are you doing?” he asked the others, putting on his best innocent face. While Bastien’s acting skills weren’t awful, he should have realized that he made the same face every time he had some sort of plan and wanted to seem innocent.
Haisley stop doing survaliance from the crow's nest and set her feet onto the deck deciding to go below seeing as there weren't any threats she could see for a while and they weren't due in ruby for a while longer. she would go check later though, just incase. something could always happen. She went below deck and raised her brow as she saw emery and faust with bastien trying not to look like he was up to something.
"up to something again Bastien?" she asked from beihnd them arms crossed.
“Why would you think that?” Bastien asked, still wearing what was known among the others as his scheming face. “I was just getting a snack after some fighting practice, and I ran into Min in the kitchen. We were just joking around like we always do.”
Well, guess they found one of them sooner then they thought.
“Looking for you,” Emery said. “What are you doing?” Then they tilted their head in Haisley’s direction. “Hey Haisley. No need to grill the guy, you know how he is.”
"Need or not i'm willing to bet he's up to something." She waved off emery. she walked past them both and put a hand bastien's shoulder giving it a pat pat. "But hey I could always be wrong."
Bastien chuckled. “Yeah, just here doing what I always do like Emery said. Why were you guys looking for me? I’ve been practicing my hand to hand if you’re looking to spar!” Another thing that Bastien did when he was obviously guilty was ramble, which he was sort of doing now.
“Aw c’mon Bastien, you can tell us.” Emery smiled warmly, their anxiety nearly gone now. They knew Bastien tended to do dumb things, and it was usually the job of someone else in the crew to keep him from doing anything too dumb.
(Oh no rip Min :( I knew @allthegoodusernamesweretaken had deleted their account, but I forgot they were Min cuz they’d been absent for so long)
(oh noooo :,( )
Bastien thought for a moment. “Did Luna send you to check on me? I’m not a child! Buuuut if you promise not to tell her, maybe I’d let you know what theoretical activity I might be doing if not for Luna disapproving.” Bastien’s ideas were usually harmless, if a bit on the stupid side.
(Welp RIP Min)
"I wasnt sent here by anyone, they might have been but I just happen to run into y'all." she leaned against the wall. "I need to practice my hand to hand more so I would take you up on the spar when your not being interogated."
(Aw, Hope they are doing okay)
Faust had been there silently lounged against the door with a constant, slight smile. After, his endless age of unlikely quiet was broken, “I’m quite curious about the plan, Bastien. Don’t worry, I’ll stay shushed if you do describe.” Honestly, he was slightly more welcoming to the idea of having some well-meaning fun. Being stuck on a crate surrounded by salty water really was breaking him down into a pulp, but it wasn’t the worst. Just much boring with rare moments of intense, highstake predicaments sprinkled into the gruel that was seafaring adventures.
(same)
Bastien grinned at that. “At least I know one of you won’t snitch,” he crowed, “if I had a plan.” He added the last part hastily, just in case. Though it was obvious he was planning something, he was glad that he’d given himself some sort of deniability. “And sure I’ll spar with you in a minute, Haisley. Though I’ve been practicing, so.”. He winked. “Anyway, I’m not telling what plans I may or may not have until you all promise not to snitch or leave.”
He huffed out a chuckle at Bastien's quick "if I had a plan" remark. "Cross my heart, hope to die," Faust promised while his finger made a crossing motion over his chest. His eyebrow risen in anticipation to hear the little scheme.
"you may beat me in fist to fist but we know who would win with a shoot out." she rolled her eyes at his wink. she made the crossing motion on her chest. "Cross my heart."
“I don’t know about that,” Bastien retorted, touching one of the revolvers at his hip. “You’re good, I’ll give you that, but don’t discredit Colette and Angelé like that.” He glanced at Emery, but his impatience got the better of him. “Alright, two out of three works. Emery, I’m counting on you not to snitch either. So, I’m throwing a party and you’re all invited but I don’t want Luna to shut it down, so it’s a secret from her and Tori. Also, there’s going to be alcohol and sea shanties, so you know it’ll be a blast.”
Emery giggled at “if I had a plan” as well. “Don’t worry Bastien, I’m good at keeping secrets.”
There was still anxiety in the back of their mind, but they trusted Luna and Tori enough to keep an eye on the Pearl ship. They made the crossing motion as well, without saying anything.
Then they had to do a double take. “Wait. What’s a party? Remind me.”
“Sounds fun. Honestly the only things you can do to pass time is to get drunk or become delirious from a disease. If you need help with planning and such, count me in,” Faust said, but his playful expression shifted to one of slight shock towards what Emery asked. “Fun. It’s where you go all out one night and then regret it the next day,” He commented.
“Exactly!” Bastien grinned. “I’m glad you’re both in, and I’d love to have help planning, Faust! On Ruby, we didn’t plan a party so much as prepare for disaster, so it will be a bit of a learning experience. It’ll be a great time!”
