“Um. What type of knot?” Jasper asked, fumbling with the string.

(REMEMBER THAT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. WE CANT HAVE YOU EATING A CANDLE NEXT)

“Um…. the knotty kind….”

“There a lot of knotty kinds, you’re gonna have to be a liiiitttttlllleeeeeee more specific.”

“The normal knot thingy….”

“The one you do for shoelaces?”

“No, not a bow, it’s like… uh…. you tie it twice….. you know……?”

“Yea, like the one you do for the beginning of tying a bow.”

“Oh… right…. um…..”

“So it is that knot, right?”

“Yeah, it’s that kind of knot.” Aster nodded.

“Um okie, so just tie that knot around all the stems of the flowers?” Jasper asked nervously.

(Imma go to bed now, night!)

“Yup, try to make it a little loose, but only a little,” Aster instructed.

“Um… okay?”

“Here, like this.” Aster showed Jasper the tied together flowers.

“Oh, okay.” Jasper nodded, tying the flowers together.

“Nice! Ok, now you just braid them all together.” Aster started braiding his flowers.

“All the way down?” Jasper asked, suddenly thankful that he learned how to braid from his weird preschool.

“No, until about here.” Aster pointed out his braid which was about an inch long.

“Okay…” Jasper said, braiding the stems.

“Perfect! Now, take another flower,” Aster grabbed a flower, “and put it next to another flower like this,” Aster demonstrated, “and keep braiding. You do that until you get a long braided flower rope thing. I’ll show you how to finish it when we get there.”

“Um, okay.” Jasper nodded, adding a flower and braiding it.

“Good, now braid like this.” Aster showed Jasper how to do it.

“Mmk.” Jasper did what Aster showed him.

“And you add another flower and braid.” Aster again demonstrated.

“Mhmm.” Jasper did as told.
