Orion scrambled to pack his things. He wasn't sure what all he would need so he just grabbed a little bit of everything. He threw on some clothes quickly and scooped up Benji, his familiar. He almost tripped trying to hurry to the front of the shop. He panted, slightly winded. "I'm ready!"
Asra was already waiting for orion. “ good,” he said softly and opened the door, as they went out asra put a multitude of protection spells and cross me not spells apon the building and door
Orion followed him almost like a lost puppy. But that was how he was with him. He practically worshipped the ground Asra walked on. Whether or not he knew it, Asra saved his life.
Asra watched Orion softly, he'd make sure to keep him close so that way nothing had happened. While he had his cloak on and his scarf to hide the lower of his face, asra still worried for Orion. As little covering as the magician wore he sure was brave.
Orion opened his bag to let his cat snuggle inside it. He kept it open slightly so Benji could poke out his head or get out of it if he wanted to. "So where are we going?"
“ … First to the fields to ask a friend for a ride,” he said softly, asra gas his eyes on his terrot cards. He always took a reading before leaving.
"What's our final destination?" Orion looked at him. "Are you okay? I thought we were leaving, like, right now." He fiddled with his fingers.
Asra looked up to orion “it's tradition to take a reading, to know what's ahead could be lifesaving. And our final destination is a surprise for you.” he said with a sly smile. Once asra read his cards carefully he began walking again letting asro perch on his shoulder.
Orion scrunched up his nose. He didn't like surprises. He had a feeling no matter what Asra wouldn't tell him where they were going. His lips turned down into a small pout.
“ awe please don't.” he teased slightly. Asra Watched the road ahead and took a deep breath the cold air “ lovely time of year don't you think?” he asked orion.
Orion shrugged. "I don't really like the cold. I prefer spring." He sniffled his nose. Moving Benji around, he grabbed a cloak out of his bag and shrugged it around his shoulders.
Asra watched Orion carefully “we're almost there, then we’ll start heading to that place. Sound good?” he asked a little happier. Asra kept close to Orion, pulling his cloak closer to his chest.
Orion nodded his head but still had a slight pout. He wasn't good with surprises or secrets. He was really bad with secrets. Though the only person he would blab to was Asra. Asra was really the only person he was close with.
Asra smiled softly when he looked down at his apprentice. Eventually, they reached the beast on the edge of the forest. Asra bent down to stroke its large snout, the beast was the build of a wolf and the attitude of a wildebeest And the side of one too. Though it seemed to be talking to asrs through his mind while the beast sat up and continued to stand.
Once the beast fully up did he climb up and slung his leg over. He then looked to Orion “ front or back?” he asked
Orion stayed a few feet back, unwilling to admit his fear. It looked like a wild beast, and prion wasn't looking to get mauled today. His face paled slight as his mentor got on top of it. "You want me to get on that?"
“ yes, yes I do. “ he said with a stern face “ it's the only way we’ll get there in time..” he said softly. Asra kept his hand out in hopes Orion would take it “ do you trust me?”
Orion hesitated a moment before placing his hand in Asra. He looked at the beat wide eyed but didn't resist.
Asra pulled him in front of him. He laid his chest on orions back to try and help brace him “ hold on.” he said softly and he kicked the beast to move.
Orion wasn't exactly sure where to put his hands and ended up putting them on his own thighs, clenching them hard enough that would probably leave bruises.
Asra seemed to notice this, he took orions hands in his own and showed him how to grab onto the beast's fur.
Orion sucked in a small breath. He wasn't used to being so close to his mentor. Not like this. He followed his instruction and gripped the beast where his hands were placed.
Asra went back to keeping his eyes forward “ almost there” he half-heartedly got out, it was quite hard to breathe, let alone speak.
Orion nodded his head. He kept his gaze forward, focusing on the terrain around them. He had never really left home so it was nice to see something else for a change.
As they came to a stop near a shaggy little house asra hopped off. He took a deep breath and when he breathed out you could practically see the magic shed off him like a layer of skin. He went inside after a bid and started tyding up the house
Orion slid off the beast clumsily and followed his mentor inside. He wasn't sure what to do so he just stood there, trying to stay out if the way.
