Juan snatched his backpack as soon as the bell rang. Finally, the last day of middles school, forever. He walked home slowly, enjoying the bright spring scenery. He breathed in the fresh air, free from prison. He smiled as the wind played with his short, curly black hair.
Evelyn waved goodbye to her friends and walked outside. She unchained her bicycle and began riding home, enjoying the feeling of freedom. The summer was going to be amazing.
