(Can I name the town? I propose WillowBrooke. I think it should be a small town where everyone knows each other)
(a small town called WillowBrooke sounds great to me! if anyone else has any suggestions, now's the time to say them!)
(Oo I like that name)
(I think that the name and the town are great)
(I don't have any more suggestions, so I'm ready to start whenever you guys are.)
(who starts)?
(if no one starts in the next 5 minutes, i'll do it)
(start right now plz I'll leave in like 5 minutes XD)
Oliver was sitting down on his couch, watching some news and drinking coffee. Nothing particularly interesting was happening, until he heard yelling outside. "OH MY GOD!" he heard. "WHAT THE HELL?" he heard, once again. Putting his cup of coffee down on the nearest surface, he stepped outside to a crowd of people looking over something on the ground.
Farah had the news on when she noticed the very large crowd outside her window. She wondered if there was a riot and then went outside to check out what was going on. It was a dead person. A very dead person, with her stomach cut open and her heart ripped out as well as her throat so cut, her neck was literally hanging by a thread.
As Natalia is out for a jog, she notices a huge crowd of people on the other side of the street. She takes out her headphones and starts to hear the shrieks of the crowd fully. "What is going on?" She wonders, and hurries over to where everyone is standing, and looking at something, or now, Natalia realizes, is someone laying on the ground.
Oliver, in his pajamas, forced his way to the front of the group. "Wow," he said quietly to himself. "That sure is a dead body." He gently prodded at the victim's hand with his foot, feeling like a detective in those old movies. Looking around, he noticed that the crowd has gotten bigger, and bigger.
Little did he know, the killer was hiding among the crowd, feigning shock and a terrified expression.
What gender is da killer?
(we will find out eventually… probably. i would just use they/them pronouns for now)
Mila was walking her dog Cookie when suddenly she started barking at the crowd ahead "Ssshhhh Cookie stop barking! It's just a crowd of people nothing out of the ord…..wait what?" She suddenly stopped and payed more attention to what was going on, she got closer as Cookie was getting more anxious, when she got near what the crowd was around she was petrified. A dead body, she couldn't even describe the horrors in front of her, the female body was just….She had to turn her gaze away.
Natalia squeezes through the crowd to see what's happening. She chokes out a gasp as she sees the dead body of a young woman. "Oh my god…" She can't believe what she's looking at. Never did she think that this would happen in her small, crime free town.
They hid behind all of the people. A horrified look displayed on their face. But they didn't care. After a short trip to the doctors office to plant fake evidence, they made their way home, all the while, grinning inside.
(are the characters friends yet? or are they going to team up later to help solve the case?)
Ambulances and news vehicles rushed over to the scene. One ambulance nearly ran over their foot, but they stepped out of the way just in time. Making an annoyed face, they tried to blend into all the people running home in shock.
Oliver pulled out his phone and took some pictures. It was disgusting, but he was genuinely curious. He wanted to become a doctor, hopefully graduating with a doctorate's degree, but his laziness and sheer lack of caring for about anything at all made it seem impossible. News people and cameras moved their cameras around the scene while Oliver tried to make funny faces in the cameras, but then he went back home, not too shaken up.
(are the characters friends yet? or are they going to team up later to help solve the case?)
(i say we team up sometime, maybe tomorrow cause it's getting a little late for me)
Farah immediately got to the front of the crowd and started yelling, "Everyone step back! This is a crime scene! We can't tamper with the evidence!" she pushed the crowd back and pulled out her tools, observing and taking some of the evidence, before slipping it into a ziplock bag.
Natalia runs back home in shock. Once she gets home, she turns back one last time to see that the crowd has somewhat dispersed and now there's what seems like millions of cop cars and ambulances. She hurries inside and starts checking that all of her windows and doors are locked around the house.
She starts to wonder who could've done this, and why. What would cause this to happen in her town? And is there anything she can do to help solve it?
Oliver just watched this girl named Farah taking some evidence. "I want to be like that someday," he thought. He went back to the body and kept staring at it. He'd never seen a dead body before, and he was hoping that he wouldn't be one any time soon.
A news person ran up to Farah. "Ma'am, are you willing to give us an interview on this… situation? It sounds like you know what you're doing."
"I do. I'm an intern at the police station." Farah smiled, holding up a gloved hand, waving hello.
The news person frowned, "How did you manage such a position with your being just a girl and on top of that….different?"
Farah noticed the woman looking at her hijab. She coughed, "Maybe you should just stick to asking questions about the murder."
Natalia hurries back outside after checking her locks and feeding her dog to hear what the news team is saying, and stands next to a boy who looks very interested on what's happening.
She turns around to see a news reporter interviewing a girl who looked to be about her age. She frowns as the reporter starts to ask questions that are more offensive about the girl than actually relating to the murder.
