He came up from behind and splashed her a bit, causing her to lose balance. Jarvis smiled a devilish grin and swooped back up, out of reach, He spread his hands out, feeling the wind through his fingers and hair

Stephanie gasped as she fell but managed to catch her balance and flew up into the air.

He flew over to her "so, what have you been up to?" They flew back to the edge of the cliff, Jarvis slipping a hand around her waist so she wouldn't fall. "I've missed you." he said quietly

"I've missed you too" she said with a smile.

He tilted his head, so as to get a good look at her and shook his head. "My angel, your too good for me," He nuzzled her neck, breathing her sweet scent, her hair tickling his brow. He leaned forward, dropping off the cliff once more, his grip tightening around her. His wings spread wide, lifting the couple high into the sky, Jarvis threw his head back, a wild laugh escaping him.

Stephanie smiled as she looked below her.

"Scared of heights?" he smiled and loosened his grip on he waist before tightening it again before she fell.

"No I'm an angel remember"" she said.

"Ah, right, I forgot for a second" He shook his head in mock and smiled "My angel" he whispered as he pulled her in, lips mear millimeters away "What did I do to deserve you my dear?"

Stephanie smiled " I guess you got lucky" she whispered back.

"right, me, lucky" He kissed her lightly and pulled away "a devil like me does not deserve an angel like you." he kissed harder, never wanting the moment to end "you deserve better"

Stephanie laughed "please You deserve better "" she said.

He pulled away once more "you know the rules, i'm not allowed to have you, as much as I want you to be mine, it can't happen. though you were never one to follow rules." He said, sadness in his voice, realizing the truth once more, realizing that he was so close yet so unbelievably far from who or what she needed.

Stephanie smiled sadly and stepped back.

His eyes got dark as his heart fell to the river below "never. Ever. forget that I love you." He strode her cheek, kissed her passionately and flew back to his home.

Stephanie sighed as she flew over to watch her mortal.

He saw her flying towards a random house from a higher cliff. shaking his and smiling he flew to his own home. Needing a goods night rest before causing mayhem in the morning.

Stephanie smiled as she watched her 12 year old mortal.

"No Malachi, I didn't see an angel last night, I told you there was an emergency and I responded to it, that's it. Now leave me alone!"

Stepahanie smiled before taking a sigh and frowning/

Jarvis went to his room after the confrontation with Malichi. He lay on top of his bed and pulled out a picture of Stephanie. He hoped that she wouldn't get caught like he almost did. He wouldn't know what he would do if something happened I would tear this world to shred for her He fell asleep with the thought of stephanie safe in his arms

Stepahnaie sighed as she went to sleep.

He woke with a groan, rolling out the kinks and stifles from his shoulders, he pulled on a t shirt and headed for his normal Mayhem spot. The dark allyway provided good cover from large crowds and other demons as well as patrolling angels. He saw no sign of stephanie but continued to walk across the street to library. His wings hidden fromm the mortal eye he signed in and headed to the top floor.

Stephanie walked into the library like she always did in the mornings.

He loved working in the teens part of the library. Always something happening. And on occasion, the local "cool"kid came to mock the nerds. Jarvis loved messing with the cool kids that came, of course everyone thought he was their local librarian so no one thought much of it when a shelf spontaneously fell over near one of the little brats. He smiled at the last incident that happened and went back to work filing out late books.
