Welcome to the magnificent city that is Camelot. The Young King Arthur rules England with a firm yet gentle hand. The Knights of the Round table are an elite force of England's best Knights. Held to a high code of chivalry, they serve as King Arthur's personal guard, and protectors of all things good and just. Life is not often quiet for Knights of this organisation with quest's around every corner and evil lurking at the edges of the kingdom.
Welcome To this RP! You will be playing a knight of the round table, a good friend and loyal companion to the king. You've survived many battles, won your fair share of tournaments, and have one or two balled's sung in your honor. However as of late you've grown tired of questing alone, shining and taking care of your armor is your least favorite chore and you are an awful cook. You are in search of a Squire to solve these problems, and you might just have found one in a kitchen boy…
I will explain more plot and story if any one is interested in joining.
The Idea is one of us is the knight the other his squire. We could work with existing myths and legends or come up with our own adventures and quest to go on. I'm open to any quest idea's you may have. I do have a plan for how the Knight and the Squire are to meet, if you agree to it, and I'm open to playing either character.
Yeah, I'm pretty flexible. I don't know a ton about existing myths and legends, but I would have no problem researching them a bit. Right this moment, I can't really think of any quest ideas, but if I do, I'll let you know. And what's your plan for how they meet?
In the legends Fae folk are always causing problems for the royal court. This usually happens when some sort of fae being storms into the dinning hall in the middle of dinner and challenges the honor of the knights of the round table and it's king. My Idea is for the kitchen hand to take up the challenge and knock the intruder out with a serving platter. Something along the lines of "Who will accept this challenge"
"I do." and knocks the guy out before any other words are spoken. If we end up using that Idea I would really like to be the squire.
Yeah, I like that idea! And in that case, you can be the squire.
Sounds good, would you like a Template or would you like to find more out about the character's as we go?
(Sorry, I got really busy today)
We can do a basic template and figure out the rest as we go, if that’s okay with you.
That sounds good, Give me a moment to post that.

After years of kingless anarchy, England has been returned to much of its former splendor under the rule of the young King Arthur. From Camelot the King rules with a firm and kind hand aided by his loyal knights of the round table. Today is the Seventh Anniversary of the King’s coronation. The Castle is buzzing with anticipation and anxiety for tonight's Festivities. The Feast will go on for three days as is custom and everyone from the Knight’s of the round table, to the stable hands have a role in the preparations. The Knight’s are preparing for a more solemn event then the other Inhabitants of the Castle. It is not uncommon for there to be assassination attempts and uprising on these joyous occasions for no evil can resist the chance to make England's finest hour it’s last.
Noah's eye's burned from the Onions. While he was a hardened Kitchen boy, having worked in the kitchen's for two years now, no amount of training could prepare you for cutting 67 onions. He had finished the job in record time and was on to less odorous carrots. Noah handled the knife well, expertly slicing through the unsuspecting vegetables. Through out the morning he was switched from cutting vegetables to turning spits over the fires, running out to the yards collecting freshly collected produce from incoming merchants. He wished for the sun's setting to slow as he rushed back to his humble chambers to wash away the kitchen smells and change into the plane yet formal attire worn buy servers. Despite his best efforts he could never quite wash away the smell of the herbs he worked with all day.
Taurin had spent much of the day with his fellow knights. It had been a while since they were all able to get together exactly like this. He had been in and out of carrying out quests, making sure the people he intended to protect were okay, and of course, having to keep brigands and the like in line. It wasn't easy or safe. In fact, many days, he wished he could return home to care for his sisters. If he died, he wasn't sure what would happen to them, especially with their parents getting up there in age.
Today, however, was a bit different. He was helping with some of the preparations alongside some of the king's most trusted men.
Right now, he was working to help tighten some of the castle security while talking to guards, both bantering back and forth, and sharing tips and organization plans for the time of the celebration. It would be a shame if anything were to happen, in the case that they let their guard down.
As the sun set over the Western hills guests began filling the Dining Hall. Long wooden tables Were set up in rows and at the front of the room sat an enormous Round table. Every chair at the table was carefully crafted and carved with one of the Knights name. Decorating the backs of these chars were intricate depictions of the many quests the knight had accomplished, some where blank, other's were crowded with images spiraling down the legs and seat of the chair. These were not normally used only put out for this special occasion. As the last guest filled the great hall, trumpet's blared and the King entered from a door on the left. On his arm walking with unearthly grace was the lovely queen Guinevere. the royal couple entered smiling widely before they took their seats at the Rounded table, the guest took their seats a moment after. With a wave of the King's hand Noah, along with several other servers, appeared from the sides of the hall caring heaping platters, filled with steaming meats and vegetables. Warm fresh Breads were pleased by every plate, goblet's were filled with fine wines and fruit juices, soon the hall was filled with the clatter of laughter and chatter.
Noah rushed from the kitchen to the Hall and back filling goblet's bringing in sides, refilling the platters. As The first wave of food was presented the servers began to separate into their designated jobs. Noah's was to collect and refill goblet's for the Round table, He was one of the more experienced Servers, soon to graduate from the job entirely, as such the honor of serving the King and his loyal Knights fell to him. A drink is most easily poisoned, as such Noah's job was considered the most dangerous. Who better to blame for an assassination by poison when the one who served it. Noah was hyper aware of which glass belonged to whom (This wasn't difficult as most of the knight's had personally carved Goblets for this occasion and the King's was gold while his queen's was silver), and carefully never let his eye's leave the platter as he filled each glass.
Taurin was locked in conversation with a few of the other knights, but he was also carefully observing what was going on around him. He picked up on a few nearby conversations, yet there was little of interest to him. He also watched as the drinks came out, and thanked Noah when he was handed his own.
It was an odd feeling, being here again. Yet, he tried to push aside the thoughts and keep involved with the celebration, engaging in conversation and eating the wonderful food the chefs had provided.
(I'm very open to you or I throwing in side characters to interact with so feel free to do so, I forgot to mention that earlier. Feel free to control the atmosphere, the guest anything really.)
Feasting continued through out the evening. Not long after the Second course was served there was a commotion heard near the doors. the sound of metal striking metal filled the air replacing the joyous atmosphere. the wide double doors Swung open and a tall figure entered the now silent hall. He was a shorter fellow, but large and strong in appearance, wearing well polished back armor caring his helmet under one arm, an unsheathed sword held in the other. Behind him the slumped figure of defeated guards could be seen scattered through the hall. He stalked through the room guests shrinking in their chairs as he passed, the only sound being that of his footfalls on the stone floor. He stopped 25 yards from the round table pointing his sword at the King, A powerful voice filled the hall, "You who claim King ship over these lands! I challenge the Honor of your table, I challenge you're right to the throne as a bastard child. I challenge any of you to lay a single strike on me, or lose your honor as a house, loose the respect of the Fae courts! Who will accept the challenge , who's head shall I bring to my mistress!"
Taurin was quick to get to his feet, drawing out his sword.
“Milord, do not engage. We’ll take care of this,” he promised.
The king also drew his weapon, but more in an act of defense. He stood too.
“It is not your place to determine who deserves to be on the throne. Begone, or fall where you stand!” Taurin shouted across the hall, brandishing his weapon.
How had they gotten through all those guards? He could’ve sworn that he had set up security perfectly. Even then, these guards had been killed, and presumably by this one man.
Noah had just set down Taurin's glass when the intruder entered. He felt no fear, rather he felt extreme anger towards this Fae. Tonight's feast would earn all of the kitchen staff including himself over a months worth of wages, if it were to end by this Fae… Noah scowled and tucked the tray under his arm making his was around the tables to position himself behind the individual. He made his was towards the entrance where the Fae had entered. Had anyone been paying attention to the boy, they would have marveled at his uncanny ability to move silently, as if he were a mere shadow along the walls. He moved around one of the long tables to any on lookers his movements would appear natural, all of the servers had continued their work, they too knew what was at stake here. He positioned himself directly behind the shorter Fae. "No mortal man of this world has ever managed to touch me in battle, brash knight. Do not speak for your King, I repeat, who will answer my challenge!" The Fae bellowed. "I do, Over grown Dwarf!" Noah announced before bringing the heavy silver platter crashing into the Fae's scull. There was a loud ringing Thwack as it impacted, the Fae stood still For one second, two. Then with a loud clatter he collapsed onto the floor and disintegrated, his challenge met and fulfilled. Noah, trying desperately to fit back into the the waiting staff went back to the round table, gathered up the king's now empty goblet, Bowed, and proceeded to scurry from the room to refill it.
Taurin looked at the king, then started through the crowd, ready to investigate what was going on.
"Excuse me. Excuse-"
He made his way to where the Fae had been standing, and there was nothing substantial left. Taurin ran outside to investigate the guards, making note to see if he could find the kitchenhand after he saw to the guards. Very few had actually died, thank the gods, but it was a mystery how their defeat had been so easy, but that boy back there had made easy work of him.
Taurin rushed back in, his eyes scanning the room for Noah. After he couldn't find him right away, he made his way back to the kitchen.
