Carter heard a knock on the door and opened it, curious. (Three?) people were outside, clearly waiting to be invited in. “Uh… hi.”

"Hi! I'm Ben and this is Nebula. We're here for…" Ben looked at Nebula. "What are you here for?"

“Nebula like the blue lady from Guardians of the Galaxy?” Carter asked, confused. “Sorry, that was probably rude.”

"No your fine and Im here for… Just general magic? Idk…" She looks at Ben then to Margret

“Interesting,” Carter nodded. “Come on in.”

"Who are you?" Ben said, catching up with the boy.

Neebula had frozen on the door mat, looking around,"Uh… Should I go in?

“Carter Kane. If you’re here to kill me, now would be the time,” Carter said sarcastically. “And yes, you should come in,” he told Nebula.

Nebula hesitates, "But… I dont know… Isnt Sekhmet ya know bad or something? I just feel like I shouldnt enter

"Why does everyone assume I'm a murderer?" Ben mumbled, shaking his head.

"Not you!" Nebula barks at Ben

Margaret looks at the two with a puzzled look on her face, then she shrugged and entered.

Carter laughed. “It was a joke, man. And everyone is welcome here,” he added, nodding in Nebula’s direction.

"Uh… Right…" She takes one step the reverses quickly

“Seriously. You’ll be safe here,” Carter said, gesturing inside.

She raises both brows and reverses three more steps

Carter sighed. “You can come in when you’re ready, I guess…. though why you’d seek us out and then not come in, I don’t understand….”
