(I thought this was just a one on one? If you decide it's not, then yeah, you can totally join, Stark! (^ -^))

Rei already liked how gentle he was with her. Face still a bit red from her tears, she trailed after the tall man. Now outside, the young girl really got a good look around the town around them. The orphanage only went on group "field trips" of sorts due to the large group, so she had yet to go and see different little shops around. Rei wondered who it was that adopted her exactly and what he wanted to be called. In movies, certain parents prefered to be called sir or father rather than the simple term 'dad.'

Walker opened the doors, hurrying out of the building. He started for the parking lot, msking sure Rei was right behind him. Next, he took her hand, walking jer across the parking lot, to his Prius. He unlocked it with his keys, and held open the door for her.
"Come on." He encouraged.

Looking at the car, she was kind of fascinated with now nice it was. She carefully climbed into the vehicle and buckled herself in. It felt a bit strange being in the car with just her new adoptive father, but she supposed she would grow used to it.

Walker got into the driver's seat, sliding on his seatbelt to set a good example. He backed out of the parking space, hovering through the streets. Luckily there were very few stoplights that turned red. The traffic was also down.
(I can mske a separate adoption 1/1 for you Stark. Is that cool?)

Rei continued to look back and forth between the window and Walker in the driver's seat. Her legs were lightly bouncing up and down, excited to see what home would look like.

Walker got to his neighborhood, and then after two lefts, to his house. It was bigger than most. A two-atory, with a smol flowerbed in front, a neatly mowed lawn, and a Volvo in the driveway. His second car, that he'd bought after winning a sizeable amount from a random scratch-off.
"Here we are, Rei." He said, parking.

Rei unbuckled herself and immediately turned, pressing her tiny hands to the window of the car. The house seemed HUGE! It seemed so fancy too. The small girl was practically bouncing in her seat at this point. Opening the car door carefully, she jumped out, standing in the driveway with her small bag in hand. This is where she would live from now on…
"Wow…" was all she was able to say.

Rei felt her cheeks warm a bit at the pet name, but giggled as she skipped along after him. Before stepping inside, her contagious joy was put on hold for a moment. Looking up at her tall adoptive father, she felt the question she would ask was necessary.
"Can I… Can I call you dad…?"

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

"Whatever you want, Rei." He answered, gently, before pointing to a large living room withlavish, black leather couches, stands and drawers made from ebony and Italian glass, as well as a small speaker system and 70-inch plasma widescreen. Being upper-middle class had it's perks!

Rei was amazed with the splendor of it all. Her new dad must have been rich or something! Walking up carefully to the dark colored seating, she lightly brushed her hand against it. It was unfamiliar, but she liked all these new feelings. The television in the center of it all was way bigger than she was. Everything seemed big. The small girl turned, beaming, ready to explore the rest of her new home.

"Come on darlimg." He said, feet brushing against the Persian rug in the living room, introducing her to hmthe kitchen, which had the same evony drawers, but with marble countertops, and hardwood floors.

@Painted-Iris group

The small child followed behind Walker obediantly, happy to be with someone she could feel safe with. The kitchen seemed to be well furnished like the last room.

@Painted-Iris group

Rei tilted her head a bit. She liked the idea of something freshly made, but couldn't quite think of exactly what she wanted. It was around lunch time, so now wouldn't be a bad time to eat.
The small girl nodded.
"I want something that you like!" She exclaimed.

@Painted-Iris group

Taking a seat on a stool by the counter, she watched Walker happily begin to make the two of them lunch. Resting her head on her palms, elbows on the marble counters, she began thinking about what the rest of the day would turn out like. And like every little girl, she was excited to see her room.

@Painted-Iris group

Enjoying the savory aroma, Rei grinned. It seemed more complex than the simpler meals served at the orphanage, and she was excited to try it. Noticing the wine, she tilted her head. Isn't that an adult drink…?

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

Walker finished up the meal and put a plate of it in front of little Rei.
"Here you go, cooked beef, lightly salted, marinated with basil, splash with wine, and nestled in greens."

@Painted-Iris group

The small child gazed at the complexity of the meal. It seemed like something that would be served in a fancy restaurant. At least what it looked like in the movies with fancy food places in them. After being handed silverware, she carefully picked up her fork. She was only given a butter knife as to not cut herself. It was normal for a father to worry about that sort of thing. Taking a small bite, Rei hummed in satisfaction. It was warm and rich in flavor.
"It's wonderful," the child said cherrily.

@Painted-Iris group

Rei hummed, already having her mouth full again. It was good to already have started off so well with her new home. It didn't seem that Walker was married or hadn't mentioned anything of a relationship he may or may not be in. That meant the gigantic home was her own to explore. Something about that was slightly scary to such a little girl, but she kept a smile on her face nonetheless.
