“Why would we?” Wyatt asked, perplexed.

“We have no idea,” Wyatt said, scrunching up his nose. “Do you?”

"Listen." Uriah took the phone from Ireland. "We have no clue where Vickie is. We have searched the library and school but he's nowhere to be seen." He thought for a moment. "Maybe we could come and see the ransom note?"

“And I could see if there’s any mark? Or something useful on the note that might give us a clue where Victor is?”

Victor’s mother finally calmed down. “Yes, of course…”
