Benny's door wasn't usually locked, they decided to lock it at night when they discovered instead of sleeping he would sneak out of his room. He wasn't of harm to others but apparently refusing to sleep or take medication was considered harmful to himself.
Josie awoke to a throbbing headache, the side effects of her medication. The bandages wrapped around her wrists ached as usual.
They hurt you again. The voice spoke. You shouldn't let them hurt you.
"Shut up!" Josie yelled to herself, well aware that people in the hallway might hear her. She heard voices outside, she assumed it was a nurse.
"Hello?" She weakly walked up to the door window. They want to kill you.
"Is someone there?" She peered out the window. Only a matter of time.
Benny sat on the floor beside his bed and waited, he heard footsteps approach and stop at his door. The usual nurse walked in with his usual medications and a glass of water. Benny stood up and the man handed him the several pills he was supposed to take. Benny popped the mix of slippery and chalky pills in his mouth, shoved them under his tongue then took a generous gulp of water. He opened his mouth to prove that he swallowed them, keeping his tongue as flat as possible with the lump of pills underneath. Luckily this nurse didn't ask him to lift his tongue, one the nurse left Benny rushed over and spit them out into the toilet, flushing away the evidence. Even the thought of how long the pills had been in his mouth made him panic
"Let him out. He's gotta eat at some point. Maybe social interaction will help him." those where the therapists. Julian giggles quietly. Oh how fun… he purrs to himself. He had been in the asylum for nearly three years, cannibalism was the main reason. He giggles. "Oh doctor~" He says, smiling up at the two looking down at him. "Can I play with the others? I promise I'll behave~"
Benny left his now open room and walked down the hall and turned towards the common area, he wasn't quite sure what he was going to do there but he had some time before he was supposed to go to a therapy session
A nurse stepped into Vaughn’s room then, medication in hand. She glared down at his sliced and bleeding wrist, which he didn’t seem to care too much about. They tended to send women into his room to give him those things. He would mever hurt a woman. He was quite polite to them, actually. “Finley, what are you doing?”
“Mm, I want this off,” he said slowly, looking up at the woman from his spot on the floor. He looked quite childish, actually.
“If I take that off, are you going to calm down and take your medicine?”
“Mhm,” Vaughn hummed, pleased when she brandished a small key. She stepped over and unlocked the handcuffs. He rubbed at his wrist, blood smearing all over his hand as he did so. But he didn’t seem to mind as he simply hopped up, stretched his legs, and held out his hand for the medication. He had always been an addict with alcohol. His medication made him feel calm and fuzzy, so he had slowly begun to feel addicted to that as well.
Someone came in and held out a few pills and a bottle of water. “Here are your meds, dear,” she said sweetly, eyes betraying annoyance.
Lilith snarled at her and knocked the pills out of her hand. “I’m not insane, you humans are just too stupid to see what’s in front of you!”
The nurse sighed. This was a regular occurrence. “Lilith, dear, the sooner you take your meds the sooner you get out of here.” She bent down and picked up the pills, not breaking eye contact. Once again, she held them out.
The black-haired woman blew out a breath and snatched the pills, glaring at the woman the entire time. After she made a show of swallowing them, the nurse smiled and walked away.
Lilith kicked the wall angrily.
(I'm still here just have nothing to say haha)
The two doctors share a glance, "He might be fine with the others, if we kept a collar on him." One says. Julian hisses silently at the thought of the collar but nods in agreement. "Okay! My arms are getting tired of being wrapped around my chest." He pouts. The collar is slipped on and the straitjacket off. He rolls his shoulders, humming in content. "Why thank you doctor~" He smiles.
Benny walked to the corner of the common area and sat down by himself, he found himself getting lost in his own thoughts, which was not pleasant
Aura looked up as the door unlocked and a nurse walked in, holding some pills and a glass of water. Her humming faded to silence.
“Hello, dear, I have some medicine for you,” the nurse said with a small smile. Aura held out her hand for the pills mutely, and the nurse gave them to her with a little apprehension. This was the first time in days that Aura had not been screaming or ranting nonsense whenever someone came near her.
Aura obediently swallowed the pills and stared at the nurse. The woman shifted from one foot to another a little nervously. “Would you like to go the common area? A few of the others are there, that is, if you feel up to it.” Aura just stared for a second, then nodded. The nurse signaled her to follow, and she led Aura out of her room and down the hall.
Julian smiles as he's lead to the common room, humming happily. The collar was a bit tight around his neck, but he didn't mind. He giggles when he sees the others in the common room. "Hello!" He greets cheerfully.
(Can I
Can I just plop my little insane one here?)
(Sure)
The nurse gave the pills to Vaughn, and he quickly popped them into his mouth, swallowing the pills dry. The nurse gave him a smile. “Good. If only everyone else listened to me like that,” she said.
Vaughn gave a polite smile. “I would hope that they do, ma’am.”
“How about you go socialize while you’re calmed down?”
Vaughn’s smile faltered, but he shrugged and nodded, allowing the nurse to lead him out of his cramped room.
Benny was pulled from his thoughts as someone cheerily came in, Benny kept his eyes down on the rough white surface of the table he was sitting at. Other people made him nervous but he didn't want to return to his room
He giggles, "What's your name sugar~?" he asks smiling at the male (Benny) with his pearly teeth. His lavender eyes almost looked clear.
Lilith was led from her room later, taken to the common room. The medicine made her glamour harder to hold on to, so it flashed and would occasionally reveal her wings or eyes. No one took notice and she was glad of it. In the common room, she swept her eyes over everyone inside before angrily pacing near a wall.
Vaughn walked into the common room, the nurse following him just in case. He already felt a bit of a high, his grey eyes flicking around. The nurse set a hand on his shoulder, turning him around. “If I leave you here, do you promise not to start a fight with anyone?” She asked.
He gave one of his rare smiles, it being a lazy one. “No promises, ma’am,” he said.
Julius perks when he hears the others enter. He giggles, "More people! My my! The asylum has gone soft!" he giggles, sauntering over to the other (Vaughn). He gives him a devilish smile.
The nurse laughed a bit and walked out of the room. He turned around, but almost smacked right into another man. He had cursed from a pain in his wrist, the wound still open, though it wasn’t bleeding as much.
(Sorry I went to buy livewires because I am trash)
Benny noticed the person and vagley looked up at them refusing to make eye contact, the man looked scary and he felt anxiety building up. He stayed quiet.
He heard the man walk away and felt grateful, there were more people in here than there usually were
