Kira stared at her reflection in the mirror, her face as red as her dress. Everyone was talking about her now. Everyone. Knock Knock. Putting the back of her hand on her face to cool down the redness, she went to open it. It was Molly, her maid. "Tell me, what are they saying about me?"
"Just, sit down. It doesn't matter." Her face was emotionless.
"What. Are. They. Saying." It wasn't a question this time. Kira knew it wasn't fair that she was using her position to get what she wanted. It was childish and stupid, but she didn't care.
Molly grabbed the brush from the desk and gestured for Kira to sit down. "There are alot of mixed messages from the public. Some people called it 'touching' that you were helping the poor. Others said that you 'shouldn't be mingling with those below you' though I don't know if that means anything to you."
"Oh, it doesn't." Kira sat down in the chair. "Not at all."
(goodnight)
Michael watched Shey from a distance hesitant to leave her on her own
