(yeah they are amazing)
The smile never left her. “I just feel like complimenting you,” she said, feeling the need to explain. She leaned into him as he rested his head in her neck.
Chuckling a little, she replied, “Alright then.”
It was then that her smile fell. “But I hope I’m not keeping you from anything you’re supposed to do,” she murmured. “I’m not sure how much time I have anyway.”
"oh trust me, you aren't keeping me from anything too important, but either way I will always make time for you, even if I have none left I will leave my most important things just for you, if you were to call me whenever I would come to you, as soon as your lips uttered my name the winds sweet melody would carry It to me and I would know that you wanted, and you needed me and I would immediately go and find you." He nuzzled his head into hers, holding her close and whispering to her gently.
"Farewell." Albion waved goodbye lazily from his bed, sighing softly and just trying to relax for now. "Mmmm… I suppose I should get changed soon. The blood feels gross. And I need to be 'presentable', apparently."
"do you need help getting changed at all? I can't imagine that it dosent hurt still…but if you want some privacy and peace and quiet I can just go back the garden." She was still nervous about leaving Albion hurt and on his own.
"No, I can do it by myself." Albion got up from his bed, standing so that he could start carefully unbuttoning his shirt. He pulled it off and looked down at the bandages and gauze around his torso, which he was already starting to bleed through. He grabbed the outfit that had been set out for him and pulled on the top with a soft sigh.

“Alright,” she said, closing her eyes. “I’m glad. And I will always make time for you, and come to you when you need me. Although I’m afraid,” she admitted, “of what would happen if I sacrificed too much. But let’s not talk about that today.”
She leaned into his touch, as if she was also afraid he would somehow disappear if he let go.
The queen made her way down the wing where her children’s rooms were placed, her hands folded in front of her. Sometimes she felt uncomfortable here, like she was invading a space she didn’t belong in. Of course, it didn’t help that nearly every interaction she had with her children was awkward at best or passive aggressive at worst. Still, it wasn’t like she could completely ignore them.
Spotting Carlyle outside the door, Rowena approached her son’s room. “Is His Highness, Prince Albion in there?” She asked.

Spotting Carlyle outside the door, Rowena approached her son’s room. “Is His Highness, Prince Albion in there?” She asked.
"Ah" he stared at the queen in fear and awe. He had never been in her direct presence before. It took him a few seconds to recover from the astounded state and correct himself "Yes, your royal majesty." He bowed courteously as he said it, making sure to keep his head as low as possible. "He's changing, I believe"
Jasper nodded, "Alright well I will just wait outside until your done changing. She moved to open the door before hearing there mother, the queen. She opened the door just a sliver and walked out closing the door behind her before turning and looking face to face with Rowena.
"thats right, he's changing right now so it's not the correct time to talk to him, is there something you need that I can help address?"
Rowena opened her mouth to respond when Jasper walked out of the room. Her mouth closed, and she raised one arm slightly.
“Daughter,” she greeted stiffly. “I need nothing, only to speak with you and your siblings. I’ve just left from a court meeting. Where’s your sister?”
Albion soon finished changing and came out of his room, pausing upon seeing his mother standing there, along with Carlysle and Jasper. He glanced between them, clearly confused. "Erm… is something the matter?" He asked tentatively. He held a great deal of loathing for his father, but he was on pretty decent terms with his mother. Regardless, she was definitely an intimidating figure to him.
Jasper stared at Rowena, it was clear that Jasper was upset, not exactly at her, herself but at the situation. She had always been upset at Rowena since the situation but at the very least she respected her. "I haven't an idea where she is, My apologies mother." She spoke stiffly as well, she has intended for Albion to rest and yet he did not.
She turned to look at him with a huff, and a look of you were supposed to rest.
Albion shrugged a bit and returned a look that said I have things I need to do. He really didn't have much time to rest. He looked a bit tired and wasn't quite standing up straight, but was trying to make it look casual. "When do I need to attend the event?" He asked Rowena. "Is it soon?"
“Ah, my son.” Rowena reached over and put her hand on his shoulder, rubbing her thumb against it. She kept her hand there, but looked to Jasper. “Well, I suppose you can tell her what I want to tell you.”
She turned back to Albion and let go of his shoulder. “You have around an hour before the event. I’ve just come from the court meeting and it’s necessary for you know what’s happened, since you can’t attend the meetings yourselves.”
"Alright… I suppose it was important, then." Albion sighed softly, trying to stand up straighter when Rowena touched his shoulder. "What was it that father messed up this time?" He asked, clearly exasperated. "I wish I was just allowed to attend the meetings if it's so important for me to know what happened in them."
"I can only promise you that you will be allowed to attend them when you're older," Rowena shrugged. "Besides, better I explain it to you then have you witness your father's buffoonery."
She let out a sigh and moved inside the room for the sake of privacy. She wouldn't stay in here long. "We have a chance to win the war on Napolean and drive his forces out of Spain. The king simply declared that we would give them ‘all brutality,’ which is too vague for even me to understand, and that he would be ordering conscription for all men to be enlisted in the army. He said he wasn't being serious, but who knows how many men he's taking out of the workforce."
Even at twelve, Albion had some understanding of the economy and social structure where he lived. As the heir, it was something he was expected to be familiar with. He looked aghast at the vague term "all brutality", bewildered and frustrated with his father. "'All brutality'? We can't take that many men away from their jobs. The economy would collapse, wouldn't it? Take the farmers away from the farms, and suddenly, there isn't any food. We would have a famine, and then people would starve, and…" He sighed, pacing back and forth. "He's foolish. Ridiculous, daft old man… he's gone senile. We would need a specific number for a draft, and some sort of plan on how to continue on as usual as possible with them gone."
she watched as they talked, listening all the while and making sure to follow in the conversation. she understood everything just fine, didnt mean she liked it or had anything to add. she moved swiftly but gracefully taking care of Albion clothes he had changed out of in case they had blood on them and moving them to the Carlyle. "Take these down to get cleaned," she spoke softly before returning to the other two.
