(Whoops, I forgot to mention Archia has like plant magic. Like a druid's basically)
"THANKS!" Archia says a little too loudly, "Um so as I've said before our job here is to NOT to kill the duke but save some little girl's brother correct?" Archia sounds a little disappointed about the fact that they can't kill the duke.
"Yeah," Talon pulls out a map of the town, and places it onto the table. He notices how down Archia is about not getting to kill the duke, he thinks for a second. "If you want to kill the duke we can just do it after we find the brother."
(I'm going to take a page out of germanic pagans' original lore where elves were considered a bad omen/species.)
Djynn walked into the bar, shawl pulled over her head. She didn't need trouble tonight.
Kirin’s head flew up from where he’d been staring into his drink when he thought he saw her. He didn’t. Just another girl with black hair. She’s dead, Abendrot. Get a grip. “What are we doing again?”
"Alright then, from the top" Archia stands up abruptly and looks off into the distance FLASHBACK
"A little girl ran into me crying when we entered the city. The told us all about the Duke and how his evilness is pretty bad. Apparently, he kidnapped his brother, who was the best swordsman in town, and it seems like he brainwashed him to become a mindless slave. SO NOW we have to save the brother and perhaps accidentally killing the duke"
Archica sits back down to enjoy his drink and looks to the others in approval.
Talon nodded, smiling at the 'accidentally killing the duke' because we all know there will be no accident about it. "How are we going to do this?" He wanted a plan laid out, it had to be organised and controlled. This was all rather risky business considering past cases with the duke and adventurers.
Talon hums lightly, "We might want to polish that a bit more but sure, F-ck everthing up," he nods. He takes another sip of his drink while looking around, noticing someone from the bar eyeing them up.
He nods and debates whether to say anything, Talon figures it would be better to make sure they're not with the duke. "You alright?" He calls out, finding it suspicious that they are trying to cover themself.
"You were just staring," Talon rolls the map up and shoves in his bag, "I was concerned." Talon keeps a passive expression while watching the stranger.
