(flop of death I got carried away XD)

Reo nodded slightly, grabbing his keys and going out to his car. He was quiet, knowing that the elderly couple across from them would be in bed at this time. He unlocked the car and slid into his seat, starting it up. He kept his foot over the break as he pulled out his phone, looking at the location mentioned.

Just a small club downtown, then. One he'd been to multiple times and a few of his friends had VIP access. Even though he hadn't paid, with his friends already there, the bouncers would let him and Darius though past the ten minute wait. It wasn't like the club was like the Sky Raze in the newer part of the town.

He shifts the car into drive and backs out slowly, looking every which way as he does so. Careful of any late evening walkers or anyone taking out their trash or something before pulling out of the complexes parking lot.

~~~
It took maybe twenty minutes to get to the destination. Another five to find a decent parking space. Parking downtown was hell, even on quiet nights. He parked, put on the break and turned the car off, tipping his head back and taking deep breaths. He knew what this party was for, but he was pretty sure Darius didn't.
Reo opened his door and climbed out, moving over to Darius, "It's about two blocks this way. Parking over here is always a guessing game." He shrugs and pushes his hands into his pockets and starts at a brisk pace.
Two blocks was nothing to Reo, used to walking longer distances more often for class. Having twenty minutes to walk basically a mile did that to him. He smiled at the bouncers, who nodded back and let them pass. He was mildly surprised Darius held the door open and he blinks owlishly at the other before grinning, "Thank you."
Reo takes Darius's hand after stepping through the door, the loud music and clamour of people yelling to be heard like a symphony to him. He was used to this kind of scene, and his shoulders relaxed. He pulls the other towards a group of two guys and three girls. All of them a glass in hand, and all but one of the girls dancing.
The other two girls were basically on top of each other, clearly a couple, while the three guys were a little more reserved. One of the guys makes a shoving motion at the couple, laughing, "Amaya, Ray, show some decency." He looks over the shoulder and notices Reo, and grins. "Reo, you made it! Fucking jerk. You avoided us all week."
One of the girls, either Amaya or Ray laughed, "He told me something about 'class work'." She lifts one of her hands and does finger quotes while her other arm stays around her girlfriend.
Reo rolls his eyes, "I was actually doing homework, guys, unlike some people, I actually care about class."
"So do we," the second guy spoke up, huffing, "We just also care about partying. And this week was special!"
The third girl looks up from her phone and says in a dry voice, "Reo's never been one to celebrate."
The third guy shrugs, taking a long drink from his glass, "Anyways, is Mr. talk, Dark, and Brooding your roommate?" He looks at Darius with narrowed eyes.
Reo sighs, "Yeah, he is, Drake. You missed the last time he came out."
Drake shrugs, "What can I say, studying abroad was the best choice I ever made. Got me away from these idiots." He motions to Amaya and Ray, who both let out indignant cries of outrage.
@Dayzed forum
(LMAO that's okay, i love your little guys >:) i also uhhh may or may not have gotten carried away too…)
Unlike Reo, clubs and spaces with loud music- and more than ten people in that space, were not his cup of coffee. It showed in the way his shoulders tensed slightly as Reo led him to their seats.
Reo had mentioned a party, and while this was not exactly what Darius had been picturing, the guy had offered. And what was he supposed to do? Say no?
He wasn't a pussy. He could absolutely handle going out with someone if it wasn't a one-night stand. He'd deck anyone who said he couldn't.
When they approached the small group, Darius stood behind Reo, watching. He didn't make a move to greet them or say anything- his eyes looking over the faces of Reo's friends. Darius wouldn't say he had ever hung out with them more than two times, and the times where he had, was simply to accompany Reo who had wanted to introduce him to them. That had been at the beginning of the relationship, however, when Darius had been more inclined to comply with Reo's wishes. He didn't think Reo would have looked his way if he hadn't played at least a little nice.
Darius resisted when one of Reo's friends nearly mocked him. Reo answering for him slightly irked him, but he figured had he answered, less than pleasant words would have left his mouth. Perhaps he should have been thankful.
"Darius," he spoke up at last. "My name is Darius," the words came out rather stiffly- with a permanent serious expression on his face that might as well have translated into a glare. However, it wasn't because he was annoyed- in fact, it was the opposite.
While Darius never gave off the impression that he could be an anxious type, at times, he was. And it showed in the way he drew into himself and looked a little too…menacing. After a couple of drinks in his system though, the whole script was sure to flip. Alcohol tended to loosen his nerves, but with that also came the loosening of his emotions… as it had been seen with Reo a few nights ago.
Across the room, Andre was having a shitty night, and when he had these shitty nights- which were almost every night- he liked to… flirt. Gets someone's attention on him, maybe take them home…
Debatable. No one at this party seemed to be his type so far.
That was till two new males walked in through the door. A smaller male with bright green eyes and midnight black hair dragged in a taller male with equally pitch-black hair and eyes that sure looked dark despite the off-putting blue they were.
That seemed to catch Andre's attention.
He watched them for a moment as the smaller male's friends poked fun at him.
Andre hadn't realized he had been staring until the taller man, Darius, caught onto his gaze. Andre smiled at that, giving him a polite wave that seemed taunting in its own way. What the hell right? Maybe Andre was in the mood to test some boundaries tonight. Who knew. Surely not him and the way his lips curved into a knowing smirk.
But the way Darius wrapped an arm around Reo's waist and pulled him closer to him while very obviously glaring at Andre made him excited. He wondered how far he could push someone to snap tonight- make a scene. It didn't seem like it would take much for someone who was Darius' type.
Maybe he'd go and introduce himself to them in a bit…. right after he was done with the brightly colored, too-sweet-of-an-alcoholic drink in front of him.
Ray, or Amaya, jumped over and hooked her arm around Drake's neck, "Anyways! We aren't here to talk about your schooling choices. It's someone's birthday!" She grins and shoves her glass into Reo's hand.
Reo squeaks, "Amaya! I–"
"Shut up and drink! You're legal now!" Ray laughs and looks at Darius, "You want something? Drinks are on me tonight."
Drake smirks, "You shouldn't have said that–"
"Except for you, Drake." Amaya replies, "You pay for your own booze."
Reo looks away, peering into the glass that had been pushed into his hand. He focused on it, trying to discern what alcohol was in the drink. His twenty-first birthday, and and friends were of course making a huge thing about it. He wasn't one for parties, or celebrating. The noise and lights usually lead to him panicking. Though he could control it a lot better these days, he still likes to avoid the situations. Unless it was hanging out with his friends. He could put up with this bullshit for them.
He blinks and looks up at Darius when he suddenly put an arm around Reo an pulls him close, the top of his head brushing the other's chest. "Are you okay?" He asks softly, looking mildly concerned. Darius wasn't one to just basically hug him like this, though Reo didn't have much experience with the other in a public setting.
Whatever his friends were arguing about now faded away as Reo focused on Darius, his gaze following the other's to a man sitting by himself and staring at them. "Oh. . ." He mumbles, shifting slightly. He was mildly uncomfortable at the state, and his cheeks flushed slightly as he shifts a little closer to Darius.
"Helloooo, Earth to Reo?!" Ray snaps her fingers in front of Reo's face, cleaning him blink and look at her, "Try the drink! Amaya got it made thinking you would like it."
He looks down into the glass and then looks at Darius for a moment before closing his eyes and taking a small sip. He gags, "What–" He shudders, shaking his head and sticking his tongue out.
"Ew-!"
Ray laughs, tipping her head back, "I knew it! See, babe, he's a fruity kinda guy!"
