Bane stood up, smiling at Ember. His voice was deep, filling the space with the room. Jules had returned to reading a mysterious, old looking book. He looked up, staring at the two troublemakers. “You two better not cause a ruckus.” Bane giggled, turning around to face the rascal. “You have to be really good, or Jules might get mad, okay?” He didn’t wait for an answer, instead immediately herd Ember out the door. They stepped into the main part of the infirmary. Bane spotted a girl supported by a black haired man and a red haired man. The girl was bleeding from a deep wound in her thigh. Bane nodded to her. “Jules! You have a patient.” He led Ember out the glass doors, letting her run around too wherever.
Ember payed no attention to jules's voice she didn't even hear it she was more interested in staring at everything and everyone, she wasn't wearing any shoe's so her little feat were out which she didn't have a problem with she was used to having no shoe's and she would prefer it like that for the earlier years of her life, she was rushed out of the the room and was watching the girl with blood covering her leg, she didn't want to leave she was Interested in what was going on with the girl, but was shooed out before she could see anymore, but once she saw the white marble floors again she slid into her knees and looked at her reflection on the floor.
Bane hurried Ember out of the infirmary, so they didn’t disrupt Jules’ work. The girl had been stabbed in the leg, minimal blood dripping from it as the two men help stabilize her. Bane wasn’t quite sure how Ember would react to gore. Although, running around in the forest would probably have desensitized her. Regardless, Bane wanted her out. They had things to do anyway. Amity would like to meet the little one, and Bane agreed, so he led her out of the medical wing. They ended back up in the main room they had arrived in, stairs leading to a second level. “We have to go up those steps.” He nudged her to the black stone staircase.
Ember whined because she didn't want to get up from the floor, she looked at him and squinted her eyes, she was annoyed and testing how long she could stay in that one spot, she looked up at him mischievously before flopping down on the ground, her black hair falling across her face as she did so, her little amber eyes shining through.
Bane looked down at Ember, raising an eyebrow. He didn’t know how to deal with kids. Especially when they threw themselves on the floor. Instead, he of picking her up and slung her over his shoulder. With a proud smile, he walked up the stairs, keeping hold of Ember. The second floor was spacious. A large library could be spotted next to the large office. Bane made a B-Line for this large office. He opened the door and walked inside. The room was comforting, chairs pushed to the side, and couches against the wall. There was a large oak desk in the middle of the room. Papers were strewn across it. A large bookcase lined the wall behind it. At the desk, an auburn hair girl was writing on a document. Bane cleared his throat. “Amity, we’re here.”
Ember squealed when she was thrown over his shoulder and she whined trying to get down. She looked around the room and then at the door she didn't really think she would miss it out there, it's funny how bathing her and giving her clothes made her uncomfortable. She froze when they entered the office, she scrunched her nose it smelt funny, she tried to to turn to look at who bane was talking to but couldn't.
Bane placed Ember down on the ground, staring at Amity. The woman looked up and smiled sweetly at the hound. “Glad you could make it.” She placed her pen down, taking whatever document she was working on, and stacked it upon others. “I see we have a new addition to the family.” She giggled, watching Ember curiously. Amity was dressed nicely. She wore a black suit jacket with golden accents at the shoulders and pockets over top a gray waistcoat and a black button-down. On the collar, she had a pendant with a blue gem. She leaned back in her desk chair. “Please, take a seat.” There were two nice, cushioned chairs in front of her desk. Bane preferred to stand, and Ember — well, she was Ember.
Ember sat on the floor looking up at bane with her arms crossed. She heard amity's voice and she turned to look at her, her eyes instantly landing on the pendant on her collar and she frowned, why was everything shiny something she couldn't touch? She stood up before looking at band again and moving behind him and staring at the woman intently.
