"I don't really like large reptiles." she said, waving a hand.
"I don't really like large reptiles." she said, waving a hand.
"What about the small ones though?" Eva said, bouncing on her heels again.
"Not really. Do you have any other reason to be here besides waving around a poorly drawn lizard?" she asked.
Eva opened her mouth to snark back but instead sighed, "No." She trudged away, back to her room.
Susan walked out of her room. She saw Lucky sneaking off, cookie in hand. She walked over to the girl's room and opened the door. "Listen, you do realize that if you ask I have a higher chance of saying yes to giving you sweets? I don't tolerate thievery." she said.
Lucky froze and turned around, cookie in her mouth. she finished chewing and looked up at Miss.Susan with tears in her eyes "I'm Sorry!" she said. she dropped the cookie and ran to her sister's room (Eva?)
Eva was slumped on her bed when her sister ran into her room, "Hello."
Lucky hid underneath the bed
Eva looked under the bed form on top of it, "Are you alright?" She asked.
"Oi! Get back here, I'm not mad." she said, running into Eva's room. "Where did Lucky go?" she asked, massaging her temples with one hand.
"Uh," She said, debating who to side with, "She may or may not be under the bed."
"Lucky, get out from under there. You know that there's a high chance of a monster being underneath the bed!" she said.
"I don't care!" she yelled back with a tearful voice. She hated being scolded and usually hid when someone scolded her
Elliot walked into the room. "Did I hear Lucky shouting?"
"You did, she's hiding under the bed," Eva explained.
"Listen, Lucky. I'm not angry, I just wished you would have asked first. I would have most likely said yes." she said. "And if I were angry, it would be pretty obvious."
"Did she snatch a cookie again?" Elliot asked, walking over.
Eva nodded, "But she got caught."
"Lucky, if you don't come out I will drag you out." she said in a businesslike manner.
Lucky whimpered and scooted further under the bed Mumbling to herself.
Susan could tell this tactic wasn't working. "Fine then. I dare you to stay underneath there forever." she said, knowing that this was A, an impossible task, and that B, small children got bored easily with things like this.
"I'll stay here as long as i want." Lucky shifted around trying to find the trapdoor. When she got scared, she'd use the secret entrance in her room to get to her sister's room. "Ah," she whispered and pulled it up. She slid down the hole and into the room below. She quickly maneuvered her way to the library and sat in her favourite chair. A few Minutes later, soft snores could be heard.
Susan knew about the trapdoor as she had used it many times. She decided to leave as she knew Lucky would only run away again if Susan tried to reason with her. Of course, Susan was stressed too. The pressure of being normal could be to much sometimes, especially for her. The children didn't really know about the magical powers she normally kept well hidden.
