Okay!
Okay!
Want me to start?
And I’ve gotta go, you can start if you want and I’ll be back when I can be!
Got it!
Hey, I’m back.
(I’ma leave this here for whenever you’re back)
Aramis sat at her desk daydream again. She lent on one hand fiddling with the pen in her other, freezing and unfreezing the outside. She was utterly bored, a stack of papers sat in front of her, ones her parents wanted her to read through and sign of their behalf. She’d been there two hours already, and she had finally zoned out, listening to the distant tick of the clock while she eyed the pen.
Bella sat in the corner, watching her old friend. "Ara, come on, take a break. I'm right here! I could even help!" She said, grinning. "Or, if you finish quickly, we can be together more! It's not that many papers!" She said, walking closer and putting a hand on her shoulder.
((Sorry I fell asleep))
Aramis shivered when she felt something touch her shoulder. She reached up to see if anything was there, by there wasn’t, “Come on, only a few to go.” She said to herself as she reached for another paper. In that moment, her brother, Kahn walked in, “Day dreaming again, dear sister?” He said. She looked up at him,
“No, no I’m not.” She replied, wishing he would go away. Kahn shrugged and gave her a wicked smile, “If you say so.” He replied walking out. Aramis let out a breath.
(That’s fine, I only just woke up)
Bella gave him a small glare, not that he could see. "Honestly…" She muttered scornfully. "You can do it." She whispered, going back to the corner she originally sat in sadly.
“Why can’t I have any help?” She muttered, then out the corner of her eye, she saw something flicker for a moment.
She looked up, smiling. "I would if you could still see me…" She said wistfully.
She frowned at the corner, "What the-" There had been something there, only for a moment but something.
She sighed, deciding to let her focus and to fiddle a bit with magic for a while
Aramis went back to work and within half an hour had finished all the papers, "Freedom at last." She said, throwing her arms up in the air making it snow on accident, "Woops."
She giggled, dancing through it like she always used to. "Ah, a nice little accident!"
Aramis was about to do it again when she heard a distant scream, then one a little louder, and louder. She frowned and ran to the balcony. Fires, not of red but of black, all over the lower city, and spreading fast.
Bella's head shoot up and eyes widened at the sound of screams, running to the window next to her. "Wha-what-"
"No, no it-who?" She already knew who it was, had known he was up to something the moment he walked into her room earlier. "Kyan." She sent a kernel of her magic down to access the damage, the fire was spreading quick and she couldn't stop it.
She bit her lip, about ready to jump down there herself
“Aramis!” She heard her mother calling and ran out to find her, and her father held at Kyan’s mercy, “Aramis, run!” He father called and Kyan laughed.
“Yeah, run dear sister, or I’ll kill you myself.” He said, doing esactly that to her parents. She screamed but ran.
