Ava quickly signed in. She ignored the looks that the others and staff gave her. The staff almost seemed too happy but maybe it was a grand opening or something. She grabbed her key and started to slowly wander away from the front desk.
(idk I don't remember)
(OKAY! Let's pause and plan this. I am rooming with someone, who ever that is. Not the internet celebrity because Evelyn doesn't have the money for like a separate room. You gotta pay extra for that.)
(I can room with her!)
(OKAY THEN! See, problem solved. Whose turn is it?)
((alright, alright I got this. Kyoko has her own room since she's super famous, thus getting slightly better treatment and as for the others… they could all occupy one space since the hotel room is split into two different rooms thus the characters decide who's sleeping with who))
(OH so we all share 1 room? Even better! Well except Kyoko) Now Evelyn was already in the room, unpacking, her blue tooth speaker playing her indie music playlist, singing along. Her guitar sat in the corner and the one night stand was already piled with a few journals, a few books on Magik, and some guitar sheet music as well.
A feeling of uneasiness clouded her, not only for the fact that the staff holding her suitcases remained silent during the whole elevator ride, but because they all wore broad smiles– their faces unflinching.
She shook off the feeling once they arrived at her hotel room, but her mood quickly turned sour once she realized her room was right next to the other winners of that contest. Kyoko thanked the staff for helping her with her luggage to which they all nodded.
“Oh my god! This beautiful!” Bianca exclaimed, flopping onto one of the plush couches. The room was bigger than the entire apartment she shared with her sister.
Bianca could have stayed on that couch all day, lounging around and sleeping. But, of course, she had to unpack.
Swinging her legs off the sofa, Bianca stood, and walked over to where she had left her suitcases. Dragging them next to one of the beds, she stopped for a second to take a picture of the view through the window. She would have to show it to her mother the next time she visited. She would love it.
Evelyn heard Bianca and came in from the other bedroom over to hers. There were only 2 of them. She knocked on the door. "Hi Roomie. I'm Evelyn, I guess we have to share." She said with a grin, opening the door. "LUCKY! You got the bedroom with the best view!" She plopped on the bed, her guiar dangling off her back from her guitar strap. An acoustic one, yellow pick intertwined in the strings.
“Hey! Oh, do you play guitar? That’s amazing! What genre do you play?” Bianca asked, obviously intrigued. She gave up playing an instrument after the disaster that was 5th grade band. When she used to practice her clarinet, her sister said she scared all the birds away from the bird feeder.
"I play a little bit of everything." She began to play BlackBird by The Beatles as she looked out the window. "Oh wow, check out that pool! I will HAVE to hit that tomorrow." She said with a nod, continuing her playing.
“Wow, you’re really good at that,” Bianca said, motioning to the guitar. Then, leaning forward, almost conspiratorially, she whispered, “Do you know what the deal is with Kyoko? You know, the girl is the private room next to us. She kept giving me rude looks. Guess being famous does really change people for the worse, huh?”
(Wait I'm confused. Does everyone except Kyoko share a hotel room or not?)
Ava slowly walked in the room, looking around at how big it was. It was almost twice as big as her room at home. She walked over to her bed and began unpacking her stuff. She looked out the window and frowned at the pool. She didn't bring her swimsuit. "Dang it! That pool is huge too!" She thought as she finished unpacking. "It sounds very nice." She complemented to Evelyn.
"I wouldn't know, I never plan on becoming famous. Though people like Brendon Urie and Obama are hella nice and they are super well known. Just depends on the person. She reminds me of my aunt. Vain, vindictive, always something to complain about. Oh well." She shrugs. "Take my advice, don't get on her bad side but don't let her boss ya around either." She nodded, switching to I Love Rock and Roll by Joan Jett.
((yes, @Euric_Knight. There's a very good reason for it though other than her being famous that is contributes to the plot))
"Oh well thank ya! Wait. Where's the one person who was typing on their phone earlier? I know sign, maybe I can help them." She said, looking around the room. "Also. My name is Evelyn, what's your guys's?" She asked as she continued her playing, cussing under her breath when she messed up, and paid attention to her guitar to fix the mistake.
Kyoko set her suitcases aside, gawking at the heaven-like space that was her room. Wow, people here must really like the sun, she thought, examining the sun design on her bed and pillows. She pulled the gold curtains aside, squinting at the huge mass of sunlight hitting her eyes.
Once that died down, all that was left was awe for the view ahead of her.
Diara leaned on the bedroom's door frame and listened to their conversation idly. In response to Evelyn's question, he pulled out his phone and typed a response into a text to voice app. "My name is Diara. It's nice to know that someone else understands sign." The voice that came out of his phone wasn't a plain robotic voice. Instead, the prerecorded voice of Diara's friend came out. He had his friend say a bunch of words and modified them to work how AI's voices would.
“I’m Bianca,” she said, in answer to Evelyn’s question.
“So, any idea what else they have here besides a pool? I’m in the mood to go out and explore! While this hotel room is nice, I don’t want to be cooped up here all day,” she exclaimed, like an excited toddler in a toy shop.
Ava waved at Evelyn. "I'm Ava." She said smiling. "It's nice to meet all of you, I guess." She said, mumbling the last part. "This is so awkward!"
"I'll agree with that. I don't want to be stuck in here." She said.
"We can go search around the hotel. Maybe there will be a rec room or something," Diara proposed. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous, there would have to be something like that.
