Robin left the forest, not noticing that he was being followed by two wolves. People shied away from them, but he didn't think much of it. People usually avoided him. He sat back down at his table, realizing only then that his wolves had come with him. At this point, it was too late to bring them back, so they sat next to him on the bench. He pet them absently as he continued thinking.
Everett sat back at his cabin's table at dinner after forging for most of the day. His hands were dry and calloused from the hard work.
He glanced over at Robin again and noticed the wolves. Everett stood up and walked that direction.
"Robin, right? And these are your friends?" Everett asked with a smile. He saw the two wolves as just giant puppies and was unreasonably excited.
"Hmm?" Robin looked up. "Oh, yeah." He pet the wolves again. "I call them Lupus and Luna, Latin of course. For 'Wolf' and 'Moon' respectively. They're really quite friendly, but most people are afraid of them.."
"I don't see why. They're adorable," Everett replied. "Do you think they'd mind if I petted them?"
"Yeah, go ahead." The wolves seemed excited to meet a new person. "I've raised them since they were just pups, and they're really just overgrown dogs, or at least they act like it." Lupus barked in agreement, wagging his tail.
"Exactly," Everett agreed, bending down to pet Luna and Lupus. He smiled broadly.
"You really do have a cool gift with animals. It could save you or someone else one day, you know."
"Really? You think so?" Robin scratched Luna behind the ears. "Most people just think it's weird or a sort of strange magic trick… My parents were worried when I said I could speak to the animals in the forest."
"Yes. I mean, if different human cultures couldn't communicate with each other, there would clearly be a problem. I don't see why it's any different between us and animals, except one doesn't just… learn to speak with animals. It's a lot more valuable than you think."
Everett continued to pet the oversized puppies.
"Well, it's gotten me into quite a bit of trouble before… you see, some animals refuse to listen. I got attacked by a bear once. My older brother found me bleeding in the woods and I had to be rushed to the emergency room. I had just tried to strike up a conversation with the bear, but it wasn't having any of it…" Luna lay her head in Robin's lap, dozing off.
Grayson scrunched up his nose and crossed his arms. "Can I go now? It's not like I did anything wrong." He stated, pointing at the person he was arguing with. "Some people just don't have the right opinions."
Loreli shot up and hit her head on the car roof. "Stupid nightmares," she mutters, rubbing her head. She looks at the front seats, where Denver and Nick are still asleep. She gets out of the car, taking in the fresh air. The car was sitting at the bottom of a hill, nd Loreli assumed the camp was over it. She began to walk up the hill, stumbling a little as she went. There was a tree at the top, and at first she thought she was hallucinating when she saw a dragon wrapped around it, but as she got closer, she realized it was real. When she was next to the tree, the dragon stirred in its sleep and she let out a squeak. She backed away from the dragon slowly, moving past the tree and down the hill. She took a step backward and stood on a rock, sending her tumbling down the hill. "Great," she says when she hits the bottom.
"Yes, but I daresay everyone's powers have put them in some sort of trouble before. There's no reason yours should be feared over anyone else's," Everett explained.
"I suppose so…" A couple of Robin's birds flew in and perched themselves on the table.
Elizabeth found a nice spot under the tree, and she sat down on the floor. She started sketching.
"The animals are really my only friends, but I'm okay with that. They're great listeners." He smiled weakly, petting Lupus and Luna.
When Zora heard yelling, she walked to the Big House, curiosity taking over her."I heard yelling."She said to no one in particular.
Grayson noticed the girl…Zara? Was that her name? He pulled away from the other girl's grasp. "I didn't do anything wrong, so I'm leaving." He walked out of the Big House, rubbing his ear.
Loreli stood up and looked around her. There were a bunch of people bustling about, but she decided to go to the big blue farmhouse, where three people were standing and another person was walking away. As she walked, she saw a bunch of weird stuff - stuff weirder than the dragon. There was a bunch of people in Greek armour and carrying weapons. There were also some more goat people, which freaked her out a little. She sped up and reached the farmhouse.
Elizabeth sketched the sapling in front of her in charcoal.
"Hold up, where are you going to?"She asked with a confused face
Grayson ran into some random girl who had walked up. "Hey. I've never seen you before, what's your name?"
"Zora, What's your name?"
"Grayson." He pointed to the random girl who was walking around blindly. "Who's that?"
(@PuffPoff who are you talking about?)
