"I guess that's fair. Sometimes it's hard to find a good apple in any of the houses these days," Rey continued. He almost skipped over the book, but then the title caught his eye barely. "Oh, here it is." He pulled the thick text from the shelf and dusted it off.
Ailyn lifted her wand "Accio Divanation: a history" the book flew out of the shelf to her hand. "So what do ya need?"
Some dust flew in her face making her cough a little. "Thanks. I'm terrible at finding books in this place. Elizabeth took the book from him, looking around the library. "It's too big."
"You're are an actual goddess. Okay here." Fitzy found her transfiguration book, filled with loose parchment that she kept notes on. Flipping it open to the page they'd worked on today, the mess of inky splotches made her cringe. "Uh… this is what I have." The title at the top read, though barely legible, "Steps to Becoming an Animagus"
Marie rushed in to the library and sat at an empty table, setting her books carefully on the desktop. she sat there for a moment trying to collect herself and her breath. "Why does my cousin have to have such creepy friends. i hate them both. i need a boyfriend so Goyle will get off my arse, and go be … um whatever he is with me" she thought to herself.
"It took a while, but I think I've finally got it down," Rey said, "It most certainly is a big library, though. Any book lover's dream for sure."

Ailyn giggled at the compliment and looked over Fitzy shoulder at the parchment. "Well, first of, I think it would be interesting to explore the side effects. Maybe we could ask Professor McGonagall about that since she's an Animagus.
She chuckled slightly. "Well, I should be going. I want to get back to the common room before I run into one of those new teachers." Elizabeth shivered. She hadn't had a class with them yet, and she didn't even know their names. She did hear stories of what the new teachers did to students though, and that was enough for her.
"The Carrows?" Rey asked, "Just lay low, and you'll be fine." He tried his best to smile. "I suppose I should go on to the common room, too. I need to unwind a little bit myself."
"Yeah that's a good idea. Maybe you should, though. Not sure she really likes me at the moment…" Fitzy sucked a breath in through her teeth. "Ugh I'm going to get a Troll on the next test, I know it. I'm doomed. They'll never let me stay on the Quidditch team. McGonagall's just the type to get me kicked off, too."
Marie stood up and walked over to the librarian "Excuse me, any good reading suggestions for a student? i need something new to read" She asked. "Go ask another student, im busy" she said doing a magical puzzle similar to sudoku, not actually busy. "Okay sorry for bothering" she turned around and rolled her eyes. 'great human interaction… my favorite' she thought to herself, wondering who she could possibly ask
"Don't be so pessimistic. McGonagall isn't Umbridge, so she can't do anything to you since you're a RavenClaw."
Elizabeth nodded. "Understandable." She smiled slightly, trying to hide her fear of the Carrows and everything that was happening at Hogwarts. "Thanks again." She waved as she walked away, making his way to a shelf two rows down.
"Yeah I guess, but what if she talks to Flitwick? Do you think he'd kick me off because of Transfiguration? I think I'm doing pretty well in his class… maybe I should bring him some extra credit or like a pumpkin pasty just in case."
Rey smiled and waved at Elizabeth. He put the book he had been reading/using as a pillow away and began to head down to the dungeon.
"Um excuse me, do you have any good reading suggestions. I need to bring a book back to my common room, i told my cousin i was getting a book and cant come back empty handed" Marie said walking up to two people, not sure of who they are, but they seem to be talking about animagi.
She sighed, walking out of the library and clutching the book to her chest. Elizabeth didn't quite want to go back to the Hufflepuff common room, afraid that she'd walk in during a fight. She hurried off to the portrait of a bowl of fruit by the common room, looking around to make sure no one was there. Elizabeth tickled the pear on the portrait and it opened up, the smell of pudding wafting from inside. She walked inside the kitchen, shutting the painting behind her.
Ailyn looked up to see Malfoy's cousin. *what was her name? *
"Try Hogwarts: A history. Not enough people read it."
Fitzy smirked at Ailyn's response, "Nerd," she said with a laugh, then looked up to the girl. "If you want actually interesting material, I'd suggest Quidditch Through the Ages. That's a classic. Although I can recite the whole thing to you right here if you'd like."
"Okay thanks. i might have read it few years ago but i'm not sure." she rushed off to the shelf and found it easily seeing as there were at least 30 copies. She took the book over ti the desk got it checked out by and rude librarian and rushed back towards the dungeons not wanting to keep Draco waiting.
House Elves busily walked around her, preparing for the next meal. She smiled and walked over to one of the benches and sat down, reading through the book. Elizabeth loved to come here to study and read.
Rey approached the Slytherin common room and reluctantly said the password. "Mudblood," he murmured. The words felt dry and rough in his mouth. The door swung open, and he walked inside to a mostly empty common room. A few girls played Exploding snap by the fireplace, and there were a few others gathered around a table, studying transfiguration, but that was all.
She had grabbed both books and said "thanks agin" when she rushed past the two people, on her way out
"No problem." she called after her. The librarian shushed her.
Ailyn turned back to Fitzy,"Did you see that Slytherin with the Hufflepuff? That's a suprise. Seems like Slytherins keep to themselves most days. I'm suprised that a Slytherin actually talked to us."
After a few minutes, Elizabeth stood up and left the kitchen with her book. She walked passed a two Ravenclaws, one of which was covered in bruises and had a black eye. She shook her head, disappointed as she made her way to the common room. Elizabeth knocked on the barrels and walked inside, immediately heading to her room.
