Marie heard someone mumbling in front over her and saw Rey cleaning an ink spill and giggles, continuing to take notes. She wished she had a camera to take a photo of what just happened. Apparently he needed to focus too.

Rey continued to take notes. He was shaking. Scared. The last thing he wanted to do was use the killing curse, but maybe it would come in handy one day. He justified himself by thinking that if he ever was attacked by a Death Eater, maybe he could give them a taste of their own medicine.
Marie could tell something was up with Rey, she wasn't sure what but something was off. she could read people pretty well, why coudln't she now?? She focused on the notes and got more nervous as time went on, hoping and praying she wouldn't screw things up.
After a while, Amycus Carrow was ready for the class to practice. He set a cage with a scorpion in it on the front table and asked for a volunteer to try first. Rey sank down in his desk.
Marie ducked her head and knocked a piece of parchment on the floor. Perfect, out of mind out of sight… right? she thought. she went behind the table and got the parchment while Carrow picked a student to practice.
Professor Carrow had picked Goyle, much to Rey's surprise. However, Rey had noticed that the other Slytherin was adept at the Dark Arts, even if he was a failure at everything else.
Marie put her parchment on the desk and relaxed. Hoping Goyle would make a fool of himself, whether this was his best class or not, it would give her time to prepare and relax.
Elizabeth turned to look out the window she was next to, absentmindedly scribbling down notes. Even the weather outside seemed gloomy as if it knew what the Carrows were doing.
Marie relaxed and calmed her nerves to her best abilities. She needed a little confidence booster.

(Ahhhh sorry. I'll try RPing a little. I'm drowning in homework but I think I'm close to done.)
Eventually, Rey realized that everyone was going to take turns casting the killing curse. In front of everyone.
(its all good)
Marie sat at her table, alone as always, and was freaking out inside. Rey looked a little uneasy too. As a matter of fact everyone looked as panicked as she felt.
Professor Carrow was going down the row once he ran out of volunteers (which were exactly two people). Rey knew his turn was coming up soon, so he took in deep breaths to prepare himself mentally for casting such dark magic.
Marie saw Rey a few chairs up breathing heavily. She didn't know what to do. she couldn't exactly get up walk over and give him a hug or talk to him and give him some courage or anything. She wanted to help but wasnt sure how.
Rey was called up to the front. He took his wand with him and there was a scorpion on the table in the front. He took in a deep breath and exhaled, then pointed his wand at the helpless creature and murmured, "Avada kedavra" Much to his horror, the scorpion did not drop dead on the spot. It writhed in pain first upon having a spell cast that was supposed to minimize suffering with death. Rey panicked and cast the curse again. The scorpion dropped dead finally after three tries.
Marie watched Rey, horror crept to his face after the first try. When he was finished he seemed ever so slightly more relaxed. She fake smiled at him as he walked back to his seat. Then to her own horror there were exactly 3 people ahead of her. She realized that she was probably screwed and wanted to cry, she wouldn't be the first crier, but wouldn't be caught dead being the last one either.
Rey sat down in his desk, an iron grip on his wand. He was angry and wished he could have turned his wand on his professor instead. Rey kept his icy-blue gaze resting uncomfortably on Amycus Carrow, who was apparently proud of his students that were successful at casting the Unforgivable Curse.
(Goodnight. I'll probably be back tomorrow)
