Vincent sat in his chair, "If by old you mean cultured then thank you, I must ask you my dear have you read A Twelfth Night recently? Because I read it last week."
"Cultured? Please, don't make me laugh. More like old school, last time I asked you what a Nook was, you looked at me like I was crazy," she said, putting her bag on the floor and sitting down next to Vincent.
(lemme check real quick who your character is)
"Those things are an abomination, you cant properly read a book with out turning he pages, It just doesn't smell like a book now does it, no, it's not the whole book experience." Vincent replied
"It's innovative, and doesn't waste paper," Aeraphina said, rolling her eyes. "Think of all the trees being saved."
"I'm not sure you understand how much I love the smell of books." Vincent replied
Alice gave a small grin. "I guess you're stuck with me for the rest of the day."
Evie smiled. "So… which way is it? I really don't remember…"
"I don't think I want to understand. You're a whole new level of strange."
Alice gave a small grin. "I guess you're stuck with me for the rest of the day."
Evie smiled. "So… which way is it? I really don't remember…"
"Just follow the crowd I guess." Alice shrugged.
"Sure," Evie agreed. She turned to go down the hall and bumped into someone. "Oh, so-" she started, but the person shoved her down. Her head smacked the floor, sending her mind into a tizzy.
"Crybaby," someone muttered.
Cicada stepped out in front of Evie fists ablaze glaring at the students, “Who did that?! Huh! Come deal with your punishment!”
"No. Stop. Don't," Evie coughed from the ground. Oh, her head hurt.
Cicada looked to her. She said almost with a grimace, “It’s my job as your friend to stand up for you. So let me.”
Come on, let me take over. You know that you want to loose it. You can't stop me. I'm inevitable. Just let me free.
Evie squeezed her eyes shut. She pushed herself to her feet and steppe towards the crowd.
Let. Me. Free.
Her powers began to unravel from her fingers. Every muscle in her body was tense. "Come out, you coward!" A voice much unlike Evie's erupted from her throat.
Cicada stepped back slightly grinning, “YOU HEARD HER! COME ON OUT!”
It hurts, Jocelyn, it hurts! Please stop!
"Come out before I find you!"
Jocelyn, please!
Even with her ferocious new voice, Evie's body was mostly her own. She was crying and breathing heavily. Strictly opposed to this, the voice snapped out again. "Come OUT!"
Vincent stood up and put his hand on Evie's shoulder ,He used the physical contact to start draining away energy " Cicada you're not helping Listen to the kid, that's not Evie! Don't egg her on!" He felt the waves of energy of magic, they pounded into him at him, his head ached his body burned, How much magic do you have bottled up that I'm not seeing, all I'm doing is absorbing whats coming out of her, And if this is whats leaving, I don't want to be on this kids bad side ever. "Now this doesn't mean who ever did this is off the hook, I will personally freeze the blood in your vain's."
"No! Stop! What are you doing?!"
Evie's eyes rolled back into her head and she collapsed into Vincent.
No!!!!
Cicada pulled back growling, “Fine. I’ll deal with it later.”
Vincent caught Evie and cut off the energy flow, He covered his hands with is jacket and picked her up, stumbling slightly, he felt faint from absorbing so much energy, "I'd better take her to the Nurse , I'll catch up with you guys later."
Evie's eyelids fluttered open. "Wait, what's happening?"
Cicada waved to him the fire put out, “Okay stay safe.”
Vincent looked down at her, "You passed out, probably because you have way to much energy bottled up in you, it was trying to break out all at once, It's a good thing you're here now and not a year later."
