“Alright,” Chase replied sadly, putting his arms around Alistair waist. Forty-five minutes alone. Maybe his father would come and talk to him. Chase turned his head to get a better look at Alistair. He slowly hoisted himself up, so his face was right above Alistair’s. Chase lowered his face down, coming in for a gentle, soft kiss.
Putting one of his own arms around Chase's waist and using his other hand to gently cup Chase's cheek, Alistair kisses him back softly.
“Can you hold me a little longer?” Chase whispered against Alistair’s lips, then kissing him. It was like a soft, quiet melody, simple and beautiful. And Alistair was so warm, so comforting. So perfect. Chase started to run his hands through Alitair’s hair.
"Of course darling," Alistair murmured against his lips, putting his arms around Chase's waist. He closed his eyes, enjoying this moment with his boyfriend.
Chase felt sleepy, from just the peaceful moments and kissing, when a knock sounded on the door before it creaked open, “Um, uh son -er-“ Chase looked up sleepily to see his dad standing in the doorway, face as red as a tomato. His father seemed as though he couldn’t take his eyes off the floor, “Can I talk with you in a bit, when you -er- are um, done?” Gosh, his father, the normally stony faced confident father, looked as nervous as heck.
Alistair glanced over at Mr. Goeman and resisted the urge to roll his eyes. Pecking Chase on the lips, he smiled softly. "I'm going to go get my stuff, 'kay?" he said. "I'll be back in a blink."
“Alright, Alistair,” Chase replied with a tiny smile, adjusting off of Alistair so he could go. Chase grabbed the protein bar and started munching on it again, watching Alistair but still glancing at his father every few seconds. What was he going to say?
Alistair smiled at Chase and walked out, passing by Mr. Goeman without a word. Once out of the room, though, he stayed and leaned against the wall, just in case.
Mr. Goeman sighed, “Alright, Chase, I just-“
“I love him, Dad,” Chase interrupted, gluing his eyes to the floor, “I love Alistair and I can’t- I don’t want to change myself.” Mr. Goeman walked a little bit closer, and sat down on a chair next to the bed.
“Chase, I’m okay with you liking guys, I’m sorry I hadn’t been. I’m so sorry, I didn’t know-“ Mr. Goeman bit his lip, “I’m a bad father.”
It wasn’t at all close to what Chase expected, so he just looked at him, dumbstruck. “I-I- Dad, I-“ What could Chase even say to that? He looked at his father to find him looking nervously at Chase. It was true, genuine nervousness of not being good enough. From his dad. So Chase was completely honest when he said, “I forgive you.”
At that, Mr. Goeman leaned to the bed and hugged his son, “I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry, I didn’t know, I feel terrible,” His father was rambling, “I wish I could erase everything that I did. I- I really realized how I’ve been, son. I’m gonna change. I promise.” The hug startled Chase, so he sat there stiff for a second before relaxing, then hugging his father back. His father kept talking to him about how he would change, about how he would get rid of his girlfriends, how he would try to be more invested in his son’s life, how he’d go to the school about Kemp and Jacob. Chase had been surprised his father even knew those two’s names.
Alistair smiled softly to himself, glad that Chase and his father were going to work things out. After standing there another minute or so, he made his way out of the hospital and hailed a cab, glad he had put his wallet in his pocket earlier that day.
Chase and his father ended up having breakfast together, which was somewhat strange, but welcomed. There were some awkward silences, but Mr. Goeman made a strong effort to break those silences, he even asked Chase about his relationship. Chase had talked and talked about all the things he loved about Alistair, all the moments they shared. Mr. Goeman listened intently, neither his expression nor reactions coming off as cold. It felt… nice. It felt a lot better after talking with his father.
Who other than these two want to continue being in the roleplay.//
(lol sorry @EmptyNebula)
Instead of going to his actual home, where he lived with his aunt and uncle, he directed the driver to Kelsey's house. After asking the driver to wait just a bit, he runs in and grabs his stuff. Kelsey isn't home, so he leaves her a note explaining what's going on. He runs back out to the cab and watches out the window as they drive back to the hospital.
Chase finished his breakfast, talking with his dad the entire time. Mr. Goeman had left a few minutes ago to check up in the house, so Vhase was alone. Alistair should be arriving any minute. Chase tapped his fingers on his knee, humming quietly to himself.
(I’ll be gone for 3-4 hours, sorry >_< )
(you're good!)
After checking in, having a couple nurses talk to him, and doubling checking Chase's room number, Alistair made his way down the hall, quickly arriving at Chase's room.
"Hey, babe," he greeted with a smile. "How is everything?"
“Alistair!” Chase grinned subconsciously, sitting up more, “I’m happy your back,” Chase beamed, “I had told my father about us, and, well he accepted it. He’s okay with us dating and snuggling and kissing and-“ Chase turned red once he realized he’d been rambling, then quickly added, “If-If you still wanted to be together after you’ve had time to think about it- about what happened.”
Alistair put his stuff down in a chair and smiled softly as he sat down on the edge of Chase's bed. "Of course I do," he said. "Why would I change my mind?"
“Well, I just thought, I dunno, you might not want me as a boyfriend after finding I was, uh, I guess unstable enough to…” Chase turned red, chewing his lip and staring at the stuff Alistair brought instead of Alistair himself.
Alistair carefully cupped Chase's cheeks, gently stroking them with his thumbs. "Hey, don't think like that," he murmured. "I probably would have done the same, it's not your fault," he leaned forward and softly kissed Chase's forehead. "I definitely want to stay your boyfriend."
Chase felt a small warm tingle, just knowing Alistair still loved him. He grabbed his boyfriend’s arm and tugged him lightly, a silent request for snuggles and kisses.
Alistair chuckled and pulled Chase closer to him, wrapping his arms around his waist. He pecked Chase on the lips and smiled at him.
Chase smiled, kissing Alistair deeply and wrapping his arms around his boyfriend. He was happy they were still together, he was just so happy about everything, even after all that had happened, “I really love you,” He whispered.
"I love you, too, Chase," Alistair said softly before kissing Chase again, letting their lips move in sync.
Chase gently pulled Alistair back so they laid on the bed together. He tilted his head so his neck was exposed, a small invitation.
