"No, you couldn't. You can barely stand one proper interrogation."
"No, you couldn't. You can barely stand one proper interrogation."
“I’ve told them, they don’t listen.” She muttered.
"Make them listen if we go back."
“I-I’m not going back.”
"Neither am I. I said if."
“I know… sorry.”
"No, it's fine. I understand."
Kaitlin nodded. At this point they were nearing the cars and Kaitlin swallowed, “I hope you can drive because I can’t.”
Nibbling on her lower lip, she didn't know how safe she felt simply hiding in a couple of boxes. Orion seemed a bit self doubtful and giddy all at once. She wanted to accept but felt she needed more information before giving the man her full trust.
"It's… alright. Just one question. How in the hell are we going to hide from all those officers hunting magic users such as myself, hm?"
Orion dips his head in acknowledgement of her concerns, and his eyes dim. "We hide, and if worse comes to worse…" Trailing off, he lowers his gaze. "Then we fight. For survival and freedom." Pausing for a moment, his tone of voice drops. "You should know that blood can make me snap. I like it. A lot."
Kaitlin nodded. At this point they were nearing the cars and Kaitlin swallowed, “I hope you can drive because I can’t.”
"Yes, I can drive," Brooke replied, leading Kaitlin to a small, orange-red car. "This is my car. I've had it since I was……..17. They couldn't stop me from bringing it with me."
Kaitlin nodded, “I-I wish I could drive.” She said, opening the door to the passenger side and sat down, glad to be able to sit.
"Maybe I'll teach you some day," Brooke replied, hopping in the driver's seat and breathing a sigh of relief and comfort.
“Yeah, maybe.” Kaitlin said quietly, buckling herself in and rested her head on the glass. Her eyes started fluttering shut and she tried to keep them open.
Brooke placed her hand on Kaitlin's shoulder. "Hey. Sleep if you need. I don't mind."
Kaitlin looked over at Brooke, “Are you sure? Because I can stay awake if you need me too…” She tried and failed to stifle a yawn.
"Just tell me where we're going and then sleep."
“She was last seen on the outside of the city, like I said, two days drive from here. That’s out best bet at the moment…”
"Alrighty then. You sleep, and I'll drive for a few hours then join you. It's getting late."
Kaitlin nodded and rested her head against the window, falling asleep pretty quickly.

Lata was about to agree until his final comment. Way to go from 1 to 100, sir.
"Listen. I appreciate you wanting to help… Orion was it? But I'd appreciate keeping my blood inside me, thanks," she said, standing up to her full height. It was still nowhere near as tall as the man in front of her was. In fact, he could probably take her arm and force her to come with him if he was fast enough.
"Sort of?" Indigo responded looking at her open locket. Maybe she should relax for a bit, "I'm just trying not to get caught."
“I’m Axel.” He said climbing out of the box
Indigo offered him a hand, “Indigo. Pleasure to meet you.”
Kenzi ran for her life gathering things as quickly as possible. Being outside was dangerous, especially for a long period of time. "All I need is food." She hid the blankets in an alleyway and head to a smell gas station. The bell rang as she walked in, her eyes looked all over. No one but her and the cashier were in the store. Grabbing as many things as possible, such as sandwiches, fruit, and dog food for Shay, anything that was healthy and set them on the counter. "Could you bag these?" The young boy scanned them and then bagged them, setting all her stuff on the counter. "That will be 27.50." Kenzi gave him her best small before grabbing the bags and jetting out the door. "Hey!" He ran after her. There was no way he was going to catch up though. She grabbed the blankets and headed to her alley with the entrance to her hide out.
Eden was sitting on top of a building that overlooked the alley. She had her eyes closed, deep in meditation.
(Do they know each other yet or is Kenzi going to recruit her when they meet?)

Orion seems happy that she remembers his name, though his gaze once again drops at her comment. "I see. I just thought that if we were supposed to work together that I wouldn't keep life altering secrets from you. It was not my intention to scare you. A papercut won't trigger me, but a mortal wound might. I apologise for coming off strong." Hoping that Lata will understand, he looks to her earnestly.
