"you're not very talkative, are you?" noticing the way Jacob pouted as he looked at his empty drink, Kai sat a little straighter, brushing a lock of stray hair from his green eyes. "let me buy you another drink."
"you're not very talkative, are you?" noticing the way Jacob pouted as he looked at his empty drink, Kai sat a little straighter, brushing a lock of stray hair from his green eyes. "let me buy you another drink."
He bit his lip and glanced at him. He blushed some more. "Y-you don't h-he's t-to do t-that." He stuttered, though cursed himself. The one person who hadn't left yet like all the others and here he was most likely driving him away. Kai was nice, nicer than the others. Though he was so terribly shy, he didn't want him to go away.
"You're right, I don't have to." there was a pause between his words and his green eyes flashed. "I want to," he finally said with extra emphasis. If there was one word that could be used to describe him it would be stubborn. Once he'd set his mind on something it'd take a hell of a lot to get him to change it, but the shyness of this other male wasn't swaying his decision. If anything, it only intrigued him more.
"O-okay." He nibbled on his thumb. He looked away, trying to hide his blushing face. His hands were shaking slightly. He was nervous, he shouldn't be but he was. He glanced slightly at him again then looked away upon seeing his gaze on him.
"what would you like?" he watched Jacob for a few moments and one corner of his mouth tipped up. something about him drew Kai closer, and despite how stalker-ish that sounded, it wasn't meant in a bad way. "your blush is pretty cute."
"U-um, just a Dr. P-pepper." Jacob stuttered. He shrunk into himself as Kai came closer to him. He squeaked at the compliment. "T-thank you." He blushed furiously.
Kai nodded then ordered a Dr Pepper for him, and a coke for himself. He noticed how Jacob seemed to shrink into himself so he moved back to give him space. "no problem."
He smiled slightly then took a sip of his drink. He swallowed loudly. "S-so w-why are y-you h-here?" He regretted asking that as soon as it came out of his mouth. It made him sound like he didn't want Kai there. Which he did, or did he? He wasn't sure anymore.
"well, I'm at the bar to escape from school for a little while. I'm here with you because I was wondering why people kept leaving. that, and if I'm honest I wanted some company." his remark about wanting company wasn't entirely true, but it was nice to talk to someone. "what about you?"
He nodded. "I-I don't k-know. J-just b-because." He shrugged. He peered at the male beside him. He couldn't help but admire how he looked. He was so handsome. If only someone who looked like him would like someone like Jacob.
{I won't be active all weekend bc I'm going to my dads house and he doesn't have internet, so I promise I won't be ignoring you when I don't answer.}
Kai nodded along. "just because is a good enough reason." he sipped his drink, and gave the male a half-smile. Jacob was quite nice looking, and Kai couldn't help but notice all his features. He couldn't explain it, but Jacob was much more interesting than anyone he usually talked to.
(Its okay)
Jacob smiled softly. He sipped from his drink and looked around the bar quickly before settling his gaze back on Kai.
(He's really shy, so Kai's going to have to make the first move.)
(Hey!)
{I'm back!}
There was a mental battle going on in Kai's mind. He wanted to know this man, but due to how shy Jacob appeared to be, Kai knew that if this was to progress in any way, he would have to be the one to move this along. "it's a little overwhelming in here, would you like to go somewhere quieter?" it didn't have to be either of their homes, he meant it to be any kind of place Jacob would like to go.
(Yay!)
Jacob chewed on his lip. He squeaked in surprise at the question. "U-uh ummm, s-sure, I g-guess." He set his drink down before spilt anything with his shaking hands.
"come on, I don't bite." Kai's smile softened and he was about to offer his hand to the male, but then remembered how heavily populated the bar was. their town wasn't the most accepting when it came to homosexuality and the last thing Kai wanted was for Jacob to receive any grief about it if he was spotted taking his hand.
Jacob offered him a small smile. "O-okay." He hopped off the bar stool. "W-what do you want to go?" He was unsure of what to do. He had never done anything like this. He had never gone out and talked to anyone, never put himself out there as he was, well trying to do, now. What was he supposed to do next? Where were they to go? He didn't know.
