"No, no no! It's fine, I'm supposed to get a raise at the end of this month! And Eric's getting a bonus after she restores this really fancy car they rolled into the shop, and, and-" Michael cut him off, realizing he was probably blabbing too much about his home life
Mitchell tossed a box of rigatoni to Michael. "I'm giving food to you anyway. And I can teach you how to cook it, too."
He fumbled, almost dropping the box. "It's fine! Really!" he said, protests growing a little quieter. Sure Eric was getting a bonus from her latest job, but his boss had been saying he would get a raise for months now. And working two jobs while trying to go to college wasn't the best combo
Adrik watched Mitchell and Michael from afar, awkwardly looking around the house. He sat down, texting Michael's roommate and asking how Felix was, already extremely anxious and missing his son.
Michael's roommate told him his kid was fine and that he seemed to like cherry pie. Michael looked over at Adrik, noticing that he was a little anxious. He walked up to him. "You, um, wanna help cook?"
Adrik looked up from his phone, quickly shoving it in his pocket as he stood up, rubbing his hands on his black ripped jeans.
"Yeah, probably not a good idea," Adrik said, shaking his head, "Although, it wouldn't hurt to try?"
He shifted, still worried about his son
"Don't worry, you couldn't do worse than me," Michael laughed
"The gay house party has turned into a gay cooking show," Mitchell said, laughing.
Adrik chuckled, relaxing just a bit.
"Alright, I'm in, although it might be a good idea to keep sharp objects away from me."
"With my clumsiness you probably won't need a sharp object to get hurt. Which is ironic because I have a tattoo of a sharp object."
Adrik chuckled, a smirk finding it's way to his face.
"I have a few tattoos as well, maybe you wanna check them out later?" He winked at Michael, quickly turning to Mitchell as if nothing just happened.
"So, what are we making?"
Michael froze for a moment, blinking. He then felt his face go as red as the stripes on his hoodie and turned away from the others for a moment to have a quick, quiet existential crisis
Esha turned and whispered to Hazel, "This is super gay and adorable to watch but it sort of seems like they all know each other and I don't know about you but I'm feeling a little out of place. I'm sorry. I don't know how to people. Please, leave me if I'm holding you back."
("I don't know how to people." absolutely relatable lol)
("I don't know how to people." absolutely relatable lol)
Same xD I either am too introverted to say anything, or i am a huge fboy
Mitchell made a face. "Oh my god, guys keep it PG in here, please," he said. "At least when you're in my kitchen."
"Shflkhs, shush!" Michael spluttered
Mitchell burst out laughing at Michael's response, leaning against the counter for support. "Smooth, dude," he said, laughing again.
"Fine, but I can't say I'll hold myself back when Michael and I find ourselves in the bathroom." He said, laughing at the flustered boy (Sorry, man sounds like we are all 50 year old's who live in a house surrounded by a white Pickett fence and drive a minivan.) beside him.
"Anyway, what now?"
"I, I, augh!" Michael grabbed his oversized hood and pulled it over his head, pulling the strings so it closed over his face
Mitchell suddenly walked out of the kitchen. "That's it, I'm leaving the area, this is between you two," he said, sitting down on the couch.
Adrik walked over to Michael, patting him on the back.
"I was just kidding," He said, getting close to his face, "I'd buy you coffee first."
"Oh, wait.."
(usually Michael is a lot smoother than this but I'm making the child be awkward lol) Michael opened the hood a little so he could see Mitchell walk away. "Wait, no, you were supposed to show me how to make chicken!" he complained before closing the hood again
