Marzia made sure her scarf was secure. She headed out into the market and down the rows of stalls. Everyone looked especially tired after last night's storm. She stopped and looked around. Where had her friends ran off to….
//hi can i be her friend
(Go right ahead!)
Victoria hopped out from behind a market stall. “Hey, Mars!” She crowed. “How’s life?” Despite Vic’s cheerful tone, there were dark circles under her eyes, and she moved more slowly than usual.
Camie stepped out of her shack and her foot crunched on the fresh icy matter waiting for her on her doorstep. Granted, she didn't have a door, but still. She walked to the market, her basket on her arm and food on her mind. (Is this good?)
Marzia raised an eyebrow. "Fine! You look a little run down."

“just a bit,” Victoria agreed. “The storm last night was vicious. My brothers were freaking out, too, so that didn’t help things.”
Grace was bent over a stove in the market place. Her aunt Katna had asked her to work a morning shift cooking up breakfast for workers. She looked up trying to spy some friends.

"No kidding. It nearly brought the entrance down so I heard…"

Grace nodded. "No kidding! Aunt Katna was absolutely certain that the cave would fall in over our heads and we'd all die." She said. "I think she worries just a bit too much though."
