"What do you mean you don't know? You don't know what?"
"What do you mean you don't know? You don't know what?"
"Never mind."
"I want to know, you brought it up."
"Noooooo."
"Yes." He says sternly pushing him up against the wall getting the red paint all over the both of them.
"Why?" He became stiff and tries to move away.
"You brought it up, I want to know, and I'll tell you a secret if you tell me." He says as he holds Leon in place, not letting him move.
"Well, um, I meant that I love you like I would love a family member because I'm an orphan and you were the only one who actually cared about me." He quickly explained and looked away while blushing in embarrassment.
"How could I be the only one that cares about you? You are amazing."
"I don't know." He shrugs, still refusing to make eye-contact with Kai.
"Well don't let anyone into your life that doesn't care about you, fill your life with those that do." Kai says slowly letting Leon, looking the opposite direction.
"So what was the secret you were going to tell me?" He asked with a small smile on his face.
"Oh that, that was nothing." Kai gives a small smile hoping it will slide.
"Nope, you have to tell me."
"Why?" Kai slowly starts back towards the exit of the bathroom.
"Because I told you a secret." Leon quickly closes the door before Kai could leave.
Kai backs to the wall furthest from Leon and slides down to the floor. Whispering into his chest so quietly that he can barely hear himself. "I've had a crush on you for two years."
Leon bent down. "I didn't hear you."
Kai repeats himself still barely audible. Avoiding looking at Leon at all.
"Can you talk louder? I can't hear you at all."
Kai looks him straight in the eye, "I've had a crush on you for two years, and I don't want to ruin our friendship."
"Well, um, same here." Leon looked away while blushing heavily.
"Then you lied to me. Is that what you meant"?
"Meant what?"
"When you said I don't know before."
