Okay, this is basically an excuse to mess around with cat OCs.
DISCLAIMER: Yes, I'm fully aware that this is similar to the Warriors series. No, I have no intention to plagiarize. And yes, I'm fully aware that I'm a nerd.
Anyways, to the plot:
It's a futuristic world, but it's hell. The world has been torn apart by nuclear weaponry and now, things have changed for the worse. Humans are at war, and one group in particular decided to start breeding facilities. A special injection of chemicals that only work on cats to give them powers is administered to several of these creatures. Seven go insane, turning into soulless hunters with barely any thought processing other than killing anything and everything in sight, mutating to be mindless killing machines, two die from the serum, but three survive. These cats gain special powers, either psychic, elemental, or physical. Physical powers result in things like wings or super speed, elemental allows control over different elements like ice or fire or electricity, and psychic allow for a different type of manipulation, like healing, invisibility of self or others, or anything else that falls in those categories.
A colony is formed for the cats that eventually escape, and the three decide after a long while of living in safety, to go back and try to help other cats. They have a successful rescue mission, adding more to their number, and eventually a colony is formed of captured cats now freed and their ancestors. However, not all is well. Humans are still out there, and horrible beasts like foxes or coyotes lurk in the woods. But overall, the colony is safe… at least, for now.
