Zane looked at his nonexistent watch before sighing and placing his hands on the table, establishing a power pose over the others. These meetings were the only times he could do them though because he didn't want to risk getting socked in the mouth. "I guess we will have to start without her. She is going to have to find a way to catch up later on." He muttered, looking at the invisible watch again before starting. "You all know why we are here so I won't bother with introductions or summary's. We only have two full silos left of wheat which should last all of us the rest of summer and the meat supply is keeping steady. We do need to find a way to get our grains though since the ground is dry and unusable, we need to come up with other ways. Any suggestions?"
"Well, I suppose having small indoor gardening areas such as greenhouses and such will assist us in having more grains and allow a few others to learn farming to help in future problems related to this." Liam replied, taking out a scrap of paper from his pocket and sketching out a simple drawing of an indoor greenhouse.
Tessa looked around as she thought about the grain problem. "Well… The ground is probably dry because of overfarming. We could go out farther than we usually go and try to find some fertile land to use. Use different plots and alternate which one we use for crops so that the dirt doesn't dry up again. Personal gardens could also help if you can find a small plot of land near your house that can sustain one. Using less wheat is also an option. An unpopular option, but an option."
"Ok, I like these ideas we'll start working on them two days from now. Now the second thing is the job assignments for the month. Who will volunteer to work on health, safety, and security. We have all the necessary equipment in the clinic and you can learn from there. Then we need two people to work on the farming as a whole and oversee the product production even with personal gardens. Lastly we need one person on water cleaning and one on energy providing." Zane said, glad that there were options for the food issue.
"I can do security." Tessa offered, liking how the job sounded better than the others. "But, ah, fill me in on what exactly is required."
"Water cleaning," Udo mumbled out, twiddling with his fingers. "Just funnels and filters and shit. I'll do it, I guess."
(I have no idea what to do.)
(Just jump in like you're characters late and heard the last part.)
Liam looked up from his drawing "I can do the farming and health if no one else does." He offered and turned back to his paper, adding more details
"Okay, that is good. And to answer your question Theresa, it is about watching out for any of the other jobs and making sure that the… mutants, do not and cannot get to them and harm our supply." He answered, writing down everything that everyone said that they were going to do.
