"Isn't it obvious? He explained it to us before he… You know." Watan gestured towards the silhouette.
Neil nodded, crossing his arms. "Who's..Griztham?" He asked.
"It makes sense that none of you know about him." The Headmage, with his gnarled ebony staff and purple robes, called out. "Griztham was a tyrannical emperor from fifty years ago. He conquered most of the world. Only our country and several others managed to stand strong. He spread himself too thin, and left himself open to assassination attempts. .. Only one stuck, but it seems he's back." The man explained , beard wagging, and accompanied by Siegfried.
"Wait, so..he was brought back to life?" Neil asked for clarification. "Resurrected." Marcus corrected, and Neil flicked a hand at him.
"We don't know that for sure but, if what our friend here was saying turned out to be true, then…" The mage said, tapping the ground with his staff. "It would appear that a Necromancer is involved."
"Who the hell would want to bring back a tyrannical king?" Neil asked, and Marcus slapped his arm, whispering to him to be more respectful to a Headmage.
(Gotta go eat)
(Ok.)
"Someone who recognized his military prowess, and can offer something in return for his help." Watan figured.
"Yeah, like a 'you help me I help you' type thing. " added Siegfried
(Eyy)
"Right, so, the typical kind of bad guy stuff you hear in stories." Neil muttered, and Marcus sighs at him. "Sorry, sorry. Do you know who this 'someone' is?"
"I'm afraid not." The mage said. "But we shall gather the Council of Headmages tonight, and the verdict will be decided. Upon the morrow." He turned , and walked off, ambiguously.
Siegfried looked ghastly tonight. Watan approached him, wrapping his arms around him as the smaller boi buried his face into him.
"Let's get you home Siegfried." Watan offered.
Marcus smiled, and Neil looked toward the forest. "Yeah, we should probably get going too, huh?" He said. Marcus sighed but nodded, sad about what had happened. "A-and I..think I dropped the basket s-somewhere." Neil grinned, patting the faun's head. "You can weave a new one." Without another word, he turned and headed towards the forest, and Marcus hurried to follow. "Um, bye!" He called over his shoulder.
"Peace out." Watan called.
Col stayed for a bit, still inspecting the seared spot, till his mentors told him to go home.
