The gods are dead.
Can robots replace them?

Twenty-eight years ago, the gods abandoned the human race. No one knew what to do. A pair of scientists came forward with an idea - sentient robots. A robot's brain would not have human restrictions, human biases. They could become the new gods.
But with sentiency comes choice. And just like people, not every robot will choose to be good. //#notallrobots//
At first, everything is going well. The robots are exactly everything we dreamed of. New, amazing, perfect. But nothing lasts forever.
Soon, they were demanding things. It was small at first. New solar panels, some greasing. But it got bigger. Shrines, temples, cities after them. Somehow, even these things weren't the worst. The next thing they demanded were sacrifices. Human sacrifices.
As always, it was the children who started the revolution. A brilliant group of teens who wanted to end the horrific robot reign. A resistance was started, named Dumbledore's Army for the ancient story Harry Potter.
The robots massacred them.
Hope seems lost. It seems only the gods can save us now. But how can we bring them back?

Background
The scientists were named Dr. Montgomery Montgomery* and Dr. Sawyer Sawyer.
Before the gods disappeared, it was guaranteed for people to be born with a power. After they left us, people have a chance of getting a power. It could be passed on, it might not. This generation almost entirely has powers. In the future, powers will die out, no doubt. But that's long after this generation has died.
Many robots in positions of power are corrupt, you know, for plot.
The most powerful person in the world is Ezra Jorgens. He lives on the edge of Canada. Maybe he will come into the story at some point. Maybe not.

Rules

1. Be kind to other roleplayers. If they're upsetting you, say "I have to go for a minute." and leave for a moment to calm down.
2. Cursing is fine, but keep it down. Don't curse every three seconds.
3. Don't control another person's characters. Something like "They walked across the field" is fine, but don't say. "She immediately listened and punched herself in the face because /your character/ told her to."
4. Any major plot points or characters (such as the robot king thing person, a sudden death, a revived hero) has to have my permission. I'd prefer if you tell all the roleplayers, but if you can't/don't want to for a good reason, PM me.
5. Romance is fine, just avoid sex and stuff. No one wants to see that, no one needs to see that. If you really want to do it, take it to PM.
6. Don't make a god or goddess. The whole point is that they're gone.
7. No godmodding either (op powers). One power per person, two if one of them is particularly weak.
8. Violation of any of the above rules will result in termination. Okay, so I wanted to sound cool. Basically, if I catch you breaking rules four times, you will get kicked.

(Ooh, sounds good, can I have a person who's an exiled goddess, and must redeem herself with selfless acts? Also, maybe they could be gods who are either human, or take on dragon form. Shapeshifters, from humanoid to dragon, depending on the situation. But how about she saves some kids from robots and brings back Dumbledores Army? And if anyone wants to, they can RP as one of the people she saved who is in the D.A.)
