Alister returned the smile as he left, and headed up to a spare room. Gently setting Noel onto one of the beds, he tucked her in. Apparently she had woken up, because he felt her grab his wrist as he was about to leave. He didn't speak, just rearranged it so that they were holding hands. He squeezed it, then bent down to kiss her forehead. For a moment he paused, stroking her head and tucking hair behind her ear. Her braid was very messy now, but hopefully things would be quiet enough so they could redo it, and just freshen themselves up in general. Alister kissed her forehead again, assured that she had fallen back asleep, then got up and went to find Evan where he left him.

Ignis sat there, unsure of what to do or say. He felt guilty and wrong. He felt like the villain. His words were shaky and unsure, "As Ignatius told you, and Arcanis. My element is fading. It's never drained this fast before, so I thought I had more time."

She looked up when the door creaked open slowly, turning her head on its side so she could get a good look at who was opening it. She felt his warmth when he sat down next to her, his words softly spoken. She didn't look at him.
"That's a bit of an understatement.." She mumbled to him.
She felt the emotions threatening to book over inside of her, her lip threatened to quiver as she spoke.
"Why couldnt- why did it matter how much time you had left..? Why couldn't you have just told me..?'
The way her voice cracked show how she really had been from the fact he didn't trust her enough to tell him, and how he lied about when she asked..
Then the whole thing when she tried to help him and he brushed her off. She burried her face in her hands.
"I…I just wanted to h-help…" She sniffles, muffled a little bit with her face is her legs.

Ignis smiled, "It didn't matter, and that's the point. I didn't bother telling cause it had no real emergency. I might've also been preoccupied in keeping all of our lives." Ignis snickered, although quick, "Sorry I've been rather distant. It's hard to fight this makeshift prison I am in. Hearing Ignatius's heated words over yours wasn't on my to do list. The others were imprisoned in their temples, my prime was imprisoned within their avatars. Me. Ignatius is bound to each descendant of Fire, since I'm the last one, it becomes maddening."
Ignis stared long into his hands, remembering the experiences that other had gone through before him. It wasn't always a pleasant memory. He rested his head in his hands, almost in tears. Something happened when he freed Astra. For the first time in years, he felt like himself, or began to have his own thoughts. He hears Ignatius, but it seemed muffled, almost silent. He gained a freedom like no other. He lifted his head once more, "I also know she's gone; Amara I mean. Ironic how we met, how she had no idea we were meant to hate each other."
He then remembered his dark abilities he gained from Kali, so he began to darken the room. Streams of darkness filled the entire room, blackening everything. Using his fire, sparks spread across the open space, essentially emulating space and the stars. Ignis nudged Kali, "Then I met you. The reason Fire regained his humanity. The reason I still fight."

She just listen to him as she spoke, it looked as if he had a lot that he was going to say and perhaps needed to say in general. She could understand what he's saying though..she couldn't imagine having darkness stuck inside of her always speaking into her and sometimes taking control of her if she did something incredibly stupid.
She tensed up slightly when she heard him mention Amara, though she quickly was confused when he said what he said.
they were always meant to hate each other..?
Well, despite the confusion at least she didn't have to worry about loosing him to Amara, or him seeking her out for old romance sake.
She relaxed a bit at that thought, just simply slouching a little bit as she looked at him.she watched as the room got darker, him using the darkness he had gained from her and then seeing the fire light up the darkness out of his hands.
It was really pretty to see how he portrayed the stars with fire and just seeing the night sky was a great thing to see. She looked back at him though as he spoke.
She felt his nudge and moved to scoot closer to him.
"Ignis..am I really the reason you still fight? I mean..I'm, I'm just so broken…If I can't handle stuff like this how am I meant to make it in the future..? I just slipped and got depressed again bc of some dumb words arcanis said.." She muttered looking down.

Evan was where he left him, still irritated at ignis but ignis immediately left to go find kali and he figured that it was for the best. He didn't want to accidentally snap at him while they were talking, he didn't want to risk snapping at anyone really….but he couldn't bring himself to sleep. He felt exhausted, and drained but he also felt as if he went to bed as soon as he did something awful might happen and he wouldn't be able to help. He sighed, running a hand through his hair. He looked around and moved to sit down in a chair somewhere along the first floor they entered on.

Ignis stared into the darkness he created. His eyes reflecting the light in the dark, "I don't know. It's what I believed cause Fire had a hold on my way of life. I…hope so. I don't what this to be because of what Fire viewed. I want it to be because I choose."
He didn't know if it helped, but he needed to speak the truth. He couldn't lie to them anymore. Couldn't keep secrets even if it meant they'd hate him, "And you're not broken. Just lost in the dark. You have no real history, no connection to Dark. You lived as a normal person without knowing what you were capable of. All because the light wanted to shine for eternity. I am a beacon in the night. Fire became the light in the dark, so people could live in the dark without cowering in fear."

Alister soon found Evan sitting in the chair, but he was a little nervous for some reason. Maybe it was leftover adrenaline from earlier, maybe he was intimidated by how Evan spoke to Ignis. As he approached, he yawned, and ran his hands through his wild hair.
“Um, hey,” he when he reached him. “Do you want to get some water or something?”

With a breath of air, Ignis exhaled, blowing the darkness away. The room came into view. His expression blank, hard to tell. His hand moved into hers, "I should probably explain to the others what's happening, but I can't help but stay in this moment."

Kali watched as he blew the darkness away, and with that the night sky. She was only a tad bit sad about it, but she wasn't gonna ask for it back. She made the room only slightly dimmer, moving to take his hand in hers and lean on his shoulder.
"We can tell the others later..I'm sure everyone is exhausted from what just went down and I can't imagine they want more information. It can wait ignis." She moved to pull his face towards her, just staring at him as they looked close.
"I just want to spend time with you right now..lets not leave this space for a while…at least for a little bit alright?"
She spoke softly, moving to place her lips against his.

Evan was just casually sitting, looking lost in thought. He heard alister and shook his head, shaking his thoughts away.
"Hm? Oh- yeah, I would like that." He offered a very tired smile to alister as he spoke. Letting out a soft yawn.

Alister suddenly got a strong urge to hug the other boy. But he didn’t. He wasn’t sure why. Maybe it was anxiety. He stared at Evan, hoping his emotions weren’t messing with the temperature too much and struggling with the want to hug him.
“There should be cups in the kitchen… and stuff…” he muttered vaguely. “El’s asleep, by the way.” He wandered over to the kitchen, looked the through the cabinets and things until he found some cups and got one for himself and one for Evan.

He nodded to alister,
"I'm glad at least she's able to get some sleep..she Needs it way more then I do.'
He ran a hand through his hair, almost suggesting that he wasn't able to get to sleep.
"Oh right- yeah. The kitchen." He moved over to the kitchen, moving to get two cups down for him and alister.

Ignis couldn't feel his agony anymore, like a wave of calm washed over him. His eyes glow and move like the flames, his torn and burnt clothing revealing, "…just a little longer…" Holding back no longer, he went in for the kiss. No more strings. No more prisons. I am me…

He frowned at his words, but didn’t comment. Alister glanced at Evan in mild confusion. “It’s okay, I already got some,” he said, putting the extra two cups back in the cabinet. He then gave one to Evan and went over to the fridge, using the water dispenser to pour into his cup. Hopefully he could feel somewhat better once he hydrated himself.

She reached her other hand to caresses his cheek, pulling him closer as they continued to kiss each other. She just let all of the stress melt away, each gasp of air in-between each kiss felt as if she was letting all the tension go and just..existing in his arms.

He frowned at his words, but didn’t comment. Alister glanced at Evan in mild confusion. “It’s okay, I already got some,” he said, putting the extra two cups back in the cabinet. He then gave one to Evan and went over to the fridge, using the water dispenser to pour into his cup. Hopefully he could feel somewhat better once he hydrated himself.

He realized there was already cups out on the counter after he had gotten some down. guess I'm more tired then I thought..
He sighed, taking the cup that alister had handed to him. He moved to fill it up with water.
"Sorry, I guess I'm more tired then I thought."

He couldn’t help but smile, letting out a breath that may have been a small laugh. “It’s okay. It’s actually kind of adorable.”
Here he realized what he said, and he quickly looked away, going to sit down at the counter. “I must be more tired than I thought too…” he muttered, mostly to himself.

He just kinda stood there when alister said it was kinda adorable, he blushed softly at that. He cleared his throat as he drank some water, trying not to choke on it.
He wiped his face and moved to sit with him.
"I think we're both really tired.."

In a moment's instant, Ignis jerked himself away from Kali. Ignis couldn't feel her anymore, he couldn't fell anything. No, no, no! Ignis mentally fought back the rampaging flame inside. Ignatius brought back the memories of their past. Ignis stared at Kali in horror, "I have watched countless generations die, reliving your death for years. I made a promise to make those who ended you suffer, That I would make them suffer. Now that this boy thinks he can undo what I have worked for. All for what? Love? When will he learn! Now both your lives and the lives of others will be taken, for the sake of love…"
Ignis panicked, he couldn't do this again…not to her. With a small chant, Ignis released his magic once again. This red aura wasn't warm, rather cold. His veins lit up with such aura, "Kali…" his words drenched in pain, "I…lo-" That was it. With a surge of power moving throughout the building, Ignis snapped. His body on the ground, unconscious. Perhaps it was the strain or small hope of freedom that gave him courage. Ignis knew what he had to do.

Meanwhile, across the lands and away from mortal eyes, Arcanis slouched by a bar. His thoughts powered by anger. In his left hand, an orange stone levitated. Arcanis stared at the stone with fascination, the runes engraved suggested a summoning. One of the lackeys, a low level metal elemental, walks up to Arcanis, "Sir, the next seal has been located. The earth seal."
A smile forms on Arcanis's face, "Then let us show the world what nightmares await them…"

Within a plane of fire and ash, Ignis wakes. He wandered around this odd place, studying it. It was a mindscape. A plane of existence located in one's consciousness. A roar of flames appear before him, revealing Ignatius, "What magic is this? What have you done?!" Ignis prepares himself, "We need to talk…"

Kali felt him jerk sway from her, and tried to take in the situation to see why ignis had done so. She increasingly grew more ans more worried about him, his expression getting more and more panicked.
"Ignis-? Whats going-"
She heard Ignatius's voice and she glared at him.
"You don't need to be doing any of that! Just leave us alone Ignatius your outdated and your opinions are out dated!"
She yelled at him, only that didn't seem to do anything. She felt her panic rise as she saw Ignis in pain, the aura lighting up in his veins.
She was right with him when he said her name, and right as he was about finish his sentence he passed our. She caught him of course.
"Ignis! I love you too- please come back! Tell what just happened something please! Ignis!"
She held him close, tears dripping down her face. She could tell he was alive, that much was certain but it hardly calmed down her panicked mindset.
"Ignis? Please? Please- please don't leave here. Please I need you.."
She whispered softly,holding his body close like a dog next to the injured owner.

He just kinda stood there when alister said it was kinda adorable, he blushed softly at that. He cleared his throat as he drank some water, trying not to choke on it.
He wiped his face and moved to sit with him.
"I think we're both really tired.."

Alister glanced to him as he sat down, sipping his cup. “Ah… yeah.”
He pulled back his sleeve, revealing the symbol of air on the skin of his arm. Old scars, from years ago, marred it a little. Alister covered it up again with the sleeve. It was still difficult to look at, even with the tattoo.
It was then that he felt a surge of energy move rapidly through the air. He glanced up, to where the rooms must be on higher floors. “Oh, god. What now?”
