Nyir glanced back towards the group. "Quiet back there. Kodiak, a word, please. I'll have someone take your spot." Her eyes narrowed.

Armand decide it would be good to take a break. He walked briskly from the dark office and out to the courtyard, then the gates. He was to take a brisk walk through the forest to clear his head and had just passed, with his more than keen eyes, he spotted Nyir's troop, and smiled, taking a slower pace.
"Ah, doctor!" For the first time, Nyir's tone wasn't actively hostile. Something like a smile tugged at her lips. She hurried to him, continuing in a low voice, "Finally. Someone I can trust."
“I could break through these shackles.”, Yuki said. “Also, I think I should hit you, Kodiak. That will make the act more convincing. Plus, I kinda want to hit you.”
"Hello, capitan, I see you've brought more rousers? You're the best of the best, Nyir!" He laughed heartily, scanning the group of delinquents, eyes whirring in his head as optical lenses swirled about. He always wanted to see how the rogues reacted to his unfortunate face; and he looked at their restraints, the corner of his mouth turning up into a slight smirk. He cast a loving gaze to Kodiak, "Though, one thing. Your officers may need to adjust how secure their restraints are. Might I suggest tightening them a bit?" nothing got past these eyes.
Nyir's gaze followed to where Armand was looking. She nodded. "Great idea. Kodiak, tighten the restraints and then move to the front."
(Guys you're gonna HATE me by the end of this lol)
Well that didn’t work. I guess it’s what we get from following the plans of some idiot we just meet, Yuki thought.
Rowan bristled and let out a snarl. She attempted to squirm out of her restraint, but was still trapped. "Back off." She hissed, looking at Kodiack, although it was directed at Armand.
"Hit me, and you're a goner." Kodiak muttered under his breath, loosening their restraints a tiny smidge so that they could escape yet still believed to be secure. "Good luck, you guys." And with that, he walked briskly to the front of the troupe, not looking back.
“I seriously doubt that”, Yuki wispered back.
(Armand has genetically and lens enhanced eyes, if he's watching you better be super sneaky)
(it's like having automatically adjusting binoculars in your face)
Nyir looked pleased. Nodding lightly, she glanced back towards Armand. "Lets go. The general is waiting."
He slid a glance around the group, watching carefully before returning his attention to his friend in the lead. "Mm, yes, I suppose." He turned slowly. The troops flanking the group should be able to handle at least the start of a breakout, were it to get to that point. He trusted Nyir's security, as he knew she took her job just as seriously as he did. He walked a small distance in front of the group, keeping a gap between him and the rest.
Rowan was quiet for the walk, completely focused on breaking the restraints around her wrists. Kodiak had loosened them greatly, but Rowan knew she would have to be discreet. Once she could slip one hand out she looked over at Yuki. "Loosen your restraint enough to slip out one hand. We can get them entire off later, but right now we gotta book it before we reach our destination." She whispered, eyeing Armand mistrustfully.
(I've gotta sleep, sorry)
“After that we’ll kill everyone and run.”, Yuki added.
"Pick your battles, Yuki." Rowan grumbled. "Look around us. We can't take out this many armed soldiers. Not without being killed or recaptured. We'll do a lot more damage in the long run if we escape now. Jut get your restraint off and don't make it obvious." She ordered.
“Fine, but I expect an attack at some point.”, Yuki said. She wiggled out of her restraint.
"Later. Once we get a chance to regroup and find some more rebels." Rowan looked around her warily. "Let's make a break for it on the count of three." She whispered. "One…" Rowan tensed herself, ready to break into a sprint. "Two…" She could feel the adrenaline starting to pulse through her veins. With one last look at Yuki, she prepared herself to utter the last number.
Yuki was ready. She was a fast sprinter and could run for long distances. She bounced up and down on her feet. She listened as the brown-haired girl said the last number of the countdown. As soon as she said it, Yuki broke into a sprint. She felt wild and free as ane sprinted through the woods, jumping over logs, and dashing under branches.
"Three," Nyir heard the faint tracings of a countdown. Her eyes widening, she whirled around, her gun instantly out. She fired at the two rebels, her bullets surrounding them. Her team did the same. Bullets flew everywhere. "Stand down, rebels!" She screamed over the chaos.
Rowan couldn't feel the gunshot wound immediately. It wasn't until her leg gave out from the impact and she collapsed, effectively breaking her leg. Blood gushed out as she let out a scream, her breathing rapid with fear and shallow from pain. As soon as she heard footsteps coming towards her she tried to scramble to her feet, but her leg couldn't hold any weight. At the rate of blood she was losing, she wouldn't make it ten feet, let alone run and hide for hours on end.
Nyir yanked the girl to her feet, her eyes blazing. "That was a stupid attempt at an escape," she pointed out, yanking the restraints back onto the girl's other hand. She shoved her forward so that she hit the ground hard, resting at Kodiak's feet. Nyir spat, "And you. I guess you tightened the restraints, did you?" She glanced behind her. The other girl had gotten away.
