Ellis braced himself in case he got swept away. The wave peaked, then hit the forcefield. Ellis sighed in relief. "It worked…"
"Lord," Wade mutters, he lets go of Ellis's shirt and starts pacing around, rubbing his hand over his face. "We're alive," he smiles.
"Yep." It worked….
Alex checked her watch. "We have a few more minutes before the night is over." She hoped she got picked to dream this time.
"We're alive," he repeats, this time louder. He looks at the sea, "and we might want to move, before something like that happens again."
Ellis nodded. "We should head to the city, right?"
"Yeah, more places to hide," Wade reasons, it seems logical to him.
Alex shook her head. "No, we wait. That should'e been the last dream, everybody is going to be woken up in a few minutes. Then new people get selected to be dreamers."
"Right."
Wade nods slowly.
(guys should we pick one/two of us to be a dreamer)
(Yeah I was thinking Ellis and Alex)
(Sounds good)
(okay we'll go with that then)
The world seemed to still. Nothing moved except for Alex and her friends, and a group of tall men approaching them.
Ellis looked up at them. "Who are you?"
They said nothing, only grabbed Alex and Ellis by the wrist and held them in place while somebody else pierced the back of their necks with a needle. Alex almost immediately slumped over, completely immobilized.
Ellis blinked, feeling the drug overtake him. He closed his eyes.
The men began to drag them away, and Alex felt sleep pulling her down into darkness. She smiled and let her eyes flutter shut, her last conscious thoughts being, I'm safe for the night.
Spero sighed. When her eyes flashed open, she didn't remember having gone to sleep. There were brief memories of a boy holding on to her and some other people with them in a capsule. She blinked and stretched.
(Where are they now? What kind of dream is happening)
(I think it's a mix of Alex and Ellis)
(Nice.)
There was a sound of an explosion, and Alex was startled awake. Well… sort of awake. She was in her dream now, and missiles were raining from the sky. "Shit!" She yelled, diving behind a building to take cover.
Ellis looked around. He was on a train, racing through the night. The sky was purple and palm trees flew by. Huh…
A purple sky loomed over the now beachy expanse that Spero was lying on. She heard a loud noise and watched red, orange and black ash fly through the sky. A rumbling was drawing nearer. Spero stood frantically and looked around. She was standing on a train track. And the train was only a block or so away and going fast.
(good?)
(Yep!)
