"What's her name?" Shade asked.

"Her name was Asja." Felix tapped his fingers on the table.

"Oh," Shade got quiet.

"What's wrong?"

"You said was so," Shade was a tad confused. Normally was meant they were gone or dead.

"Well her name doesn't get used very often nowadays." Felix dumped a bit of salt on the table, tracing a pattern with his fingers, "They usually call her Zero. Governments don't like to acknowledge that their prisoners used to have names."

"Ohhhhh," Shade slapped her forehead, "Of course! Mind if I ask why she's in jail?"

"Not jail. Subject to testing. She didn't want to go, so they took her." Felix finished his small spell in the salt, "Arturia Fiore Faceshe." he blew the salt off of the table. "There!"

"What did you just do?" Shade asked.

"Small spell. Should keep the table from getting dirty. But then again, I am a novice witch, so it may not work." Felix laughed and ran a hand through his white-blond hair.

"Well that's cool," Shade asked, "Is witchcraft in your family?"

"Yeah, my Babushka was a witch, but my grandpappy owned a farm."

"What does Bab-u-shka mean?" Shade asked.

"Grandma." Felix licked the salt off of his finger, "Himalayan Pink Salt? Wow, classy."

"I guess," Shade shrugged, "So you're a college student?"

"Yes, I am. What about you?" he looked over at Cyrus and patted him on the head.

"Yep," Shade nodded, "What's your major?"

"Neurology and Blood-Work." Felix smiled, "What's yours?"

"Computer programming," Shade smiled in return, "It's pretty fun once you get the hang of it. Until you hit a bug, then it's a pain!"

Teresa had been questioning Thomas about his trip, then turned her attention back to the group. “So… how many people are meeting for the first time?”

"Shockingly enough I have never met most of these guys before," Shade pretended to be astonished.
