((Screee thank you!!))
“Crap crap crap crap crap,” was all she could think when the person ran into her. “You should, uh, really watch where you’re going,” she yelled, trying to keep her head at an angle where the blood wasn’t visible. If it was successful, she couldn’t tell.
"im sorry but, why do you have blood on your shirt miss?" Robin asks
“Uh, uh, because…. STREETFIGHTING!!” She shouted, finally thinking of a good explaination for the blood covering her. Her face flushing from embarrassment, she looked down and continued, “I’m a street fighter, got in a tough fight last night.” She guessed it wasn’t that far from the truth. Azeala hopes this stranger wouldn’t be able to read through her lie.
Carter started down the city streets, jaywalking across the road at one point. Phantom memories still ghosted him, which made him clench and unclench his shirt in his fist. An earwig crawled down his arm, which he failed to notice as he kept jogging. Run it out, run away from it, you’ll be fine.
"you shoultdnt fight, thats how you get hurt" he sounds like a robot, reapeting this as if he had done it multile times
Antoine stands and stretches leisurely. He sighs and looks around, hopping from his perch as he releases a bored meow before starting to look around.
Carter was just halfway to his parent’s apartment before hearing a meow. He should’ve ignored it, should’ve kept running, but he stopped. Something was off. A millipede crawled it’s way out of Carter’s ear, moving to crawl over his neck then down his chest. Something is off, they can sense it…
Antoine sees a bug and his cat like instincts ring. He chases after it towards what appears to be a human, but something about his aura was off. "Well I found one." He says, tilting his head at Carter.
Carter jumped back, eyes widening. It’s a hallucination, not real- “What the?!” It’s just a cat, nothing bad- A cockroach crawled its way out of his mouth, which made him spit it out, and it fell near the cat. Geez, they know something’s off. He felt that strange itching sensation, making him take a step away from the cat.
He sniffs at the cockaroach then looks at the human, "Right then. Human, my name is Antoine. I'm looking for people like you. Unless, you've already learned to tame your powers…" He glances at the bugs.
“What are you talking about?” Carter demanded, a bit of panic edging into his voice. If someone knew about him, if someone knew how he ate children in the night… Carter took another step back. I’m talking to a cat. This has to be a hallucination.
Antoine clears his throat. "Right." He shifts into his human form, "This easier?" He asks, tilting his head at the human… well… not human, but whatever.
Carter jumped back even more, “You- You were a cat.” This hasn’t ever happened before… Could there really be another like me? “I- What do you want from me?” This cat -guy- Antoine… Another monster?
Antoine bows a little, "Indeed I was." He says casually, flicking his hair from his face, but making sure to keep his eyepatch in place. "My job is to make sure that people like us have a safe place to go and a safe place to stay." He winces a little. He needed to find a master soon. And from what he could tell, it was not this boy.
“People like us? As in, there’s more? Where-“ Carter was interrupted by a fit of coughing as another insect crawled up his throat. Gosh he wished they’d stop doing that. He put a hand up against the building wall as the creature fell out onto the pavement, scuttling away after a second.
Antoine sneers a little in disgust at the creature. "Carnage… how wonderful." He sighs and looks at the boy, "I could teach you how to possibly control those… things." He mutters, folding his arms.
"you shoultdnt fight, thats how you get hurt" he sounds like a robot, reapeting this as if he had done it multile times
She lightly scoffed. "When you're homeless and can't get a job, it's really the only option you have if you want to survive." She crossed her arms and stood up a little taller.
“I- What?” Carter furrowed his brow. Control the bugs? Yeah sure… “How on earth could I control any of it?” Even if Carter did manage to stop the insects, he would never be able to stop himself from losing his mind in the night.
Antoine walks around him. "it's not that hard. Soon enough you'll be able to do it in your sleep." He shrugs. "Or with your eyes closed. Whatever the saying is now."
“It’s not that hard? Pray tell,” Carter said, eyebrows raised, “If it wasn’t that hard I wouldn’t have to wake up every morning and have to jog home before my f—king parents find out I’ve been gone all night.” He bit his lip and looked as he realized he told this stranger too much.
"that is understandable" the man softly says, walking further into the park.
'' that was terribly awkward" Dax mutters in Robins head

Antoine chuckles, "I've taught harder." He replies, his feline like eyes glinting.
