“New experiences, you know?” She shrugged. “Also, my sister loves when i send her food.”
“New experiences, you know?” She shrugged. “Also, my sister loves when i send her food.”
Vohd Prim gave a slow sigh. “Okay, I’ll bring you something,” he said in a reluctant tone. He adjusted his hood, fixing it slightly.
“Thank you!” She said, continuing to spin. She stopped after a moment to mess with a program on her computer, forgetting to hang up.
Jackie slowed down. Their favorite café was coming up the road.
Vohd Prim have a hum in response before pressing a button, hanging up the cuff. He glanced back up the human, watching thier movements.
Jackie entered the cafe. One of the workers greeted them, "Hey there man! Playing the violin again?"
"I left it here yesterday actually," Jackie smiled at them, "Do you mind if I could get it back?"
"Of course Jackster," the worker walked to the back and brought out the case, "Here you go. Want your usual?"
"Thanks you and yes please."
Vohd Prim stepped into the building, eyes glancing around. He listened to the human’s conversation. Jackster? What kind of name is that?
They brought him his coffee, "Here it is Black Jack."
"Do you have to use those nicknames?" Jackie sighed.
"Hey you drink Black coffee, and your name's Jackie it works!"
"That it does," Jackie smiled, "See you later!"
Vohd had stayed towards the back behind a crowd so he would not be noticed as easily. Once the human left, he waited for about 30 seconds before stepping out as well.
Jackie continued walking around the city. They didn't have anything better to do.
Where was this human going? Vohn Prim wondered as he discreetly followed. He couldn’t make his move until the human was not in such a crowded area.
Raven quietly followed Vohd.
Jackie noticed as they entered the area near their home. It wasn't all that busy around here, namely because most of them were either dead or to scared to move into supposedly cursed homes.
Vohd Prim was pleased when the area grew not as populated. He partly hit his hand in his sleeve as a barb like piece slid out from under the skin of his wrist.
Jackie walked up to their porch. They fumbled around in their pocket for the keys.
Vohd Prim broke into a run, his footsteps somehow completely silent on the ground. He grabbed the human a bit roughly from behind, pinning their arms to their body as he revealed the barb, allowing it to puncture the skin of the human’s neck, injecting them with something like an anesthetic.
"What the-?!" Jackie started before succumbing to darkness.
Vohd Prim slipped the barb from the human’s neck once he was sure that they were out. It slid back under his skin, the flesh sealing shut. He lifted the human up, looking at Raven. “Wasn’t so hard,” he said, making his way back over.
"Yea,"She silently followed Vohd.
Vohd Prim carried the human back to the ship, typing in the code for the door to open with a hiss. Once him and Raven were inside, he shut it.
Arlett ran out to meet them. “Hey! You’re back. Ho’d it go?”
Vohd Prim motioned to the human he was carrying with a nod. “I’d say we have a decent subject,” he said.
“Cool. So… to the lab?”
Vohd Prim hummed in agreement, carrying the human to the decently sized lab on the ship. He set the human onto an examination table, allowing once of the doctors room to strap down the humans limbs.
