Seth looks at him, "That's not the point!" He barks. He takes a deep breath to calm himself. "If you die, how would that effect him? He adores you, Zackary." he says softly. "He loves you so, so much." He shakes his head, "I'll be damned more than I already am if I let that sweetheart suffer." He says, shaking his head. "Of course I would take care of him…" he says softly.
Zackary grunt-sighed and nodded. "I suppose you're right. Well, I'm off tomorrow, so if you want to stay home or come by tomorrow you can. Nothing's stopping you." Zackary gave a hazy laugh as he dozed.
He sighs softly, 'Idiot…' he thinks quietly. "I think I'll come in tomorrow." he says, glancing at the other. He chuckles gently Zackary as he dozed. He takes a few blanket and adjusts Zackary into a position to where his wounds wouldn't be tormented by his position and tucks him in. Out of habit, he gently presses a kiss to the top of Zackarys head before heading home.
The night leading up to the next day was a haze of torment for Zackary. Eventually, he ended up stumbling up the steps to his bed. When Seth arrived the next morning Zackary was still in bed.
Seth arrived with a gentle knock, opening the door, then started on breakfast. He was early that day, wanting Zackary to get as much rest as possible. He hums as he works, making eggs, pancakes and the such. He made something simple for Zackary, a smoothie with pain medicine dissolved into it, and eggs. He sets the food on the table, humming softly.
Jace joined him soon after he arrived, holding his bear. "Morning!" He squeaked as he entered.
Seth looks at Jace and smiles warmly. "Morning, little one. Sleep well?" He asks, smiling softly.
Jace nodded and sat down. "Did daddy come home?" He looked up at Seth.
"Yes, daddy came home." he smiles softly. "But he's resting right now, so we're going to let him, okay?" He places breakfast in front of Jace. "Eat up." He says happily.
Jace nodded like the happy smol he is and started eating carefully. "Thank you!" He chided.
He nods and smiles gently. He places the smoothie and the eggs, along with a fork on a platter and walks towards Zackary's room. He knocks gently. "Zackary?" he calls softly.
He didn't hear anything from the room in response.
He sighs softly, entering the room to gently set the food on the bedside table before leaving quietly. He returns to the kitchen and sighs softly, leaning against the couch.
Zackary was slumbering away, breathing like a sigh every exhale. He looked peaceful and calmer than Seth had seen him before. He was also quite adorable, but we won't talk about that.
Seth smiles slightly humming a little before joining Jace for breakfast. He eats slowly, humming softly.
Jace finished quickly; he ate a lot for a smol such as himself. He got up and maneuvered over to the sink where he dumped off his dishes.
"Thank you!" He quired again and walked over to Seth to give him a hug.
Seth chuckles and nods, "Of course." He picks the small boy up and nuzzles his nose. "I'm glad you enjoyed it." he says happily.
Jace giggled and looked around. "What are we gonna do today?"
"Anything you want." He says happily, humming as he sets the boy down.
Jace sat down on the ground next to Seth's feet and started playing with his bear. He giggled occasionally as he played with it as if he were having a genuine conversation.
Seth smiles softly at the sight watching the younger do his thing. He sighs softly and glances at the ceiling as he relaxes.
Jace put his bear on his head and giggled quietly yet wildly underneath the table.
I'm back, had to make dinner!))
Seth looks down at him. "And what exactly are you doing under there, little mister?" He asks, sliding down under the table next to him.
