Zackary stood with his son. "I've never met a child your age who likes naps, you know."
"Naps are nice." Jace laughed gently.

Seth brushed some of his white hair back, revealing his purple eyes. His gaze is down cast as he gently sets the cup in the sink.
Zackary walked upstairs with his son, not thinking to tell Seth… since he was used to being alone in the house, other than Jace. He reached his room and laid down with his son.
Seth sighs softly and collapses on the couch, his mind going through the past. His mother screaming, his own screams, pain raging through his body, the shouts and pleading of those souls he had to take.
Jace hugged his father and tucked his head into his chest, as Zackary laid there, wide awake. Will Seth approach me about my previous relationship? Would he care that much?
His eyes shoot open and he starts, feeling a burning sensation on his cheeks. He sits up and wipes at his cheek. He stares at the liquid in his eyes. He was… crying? He sighs softly, looking down.
Zackary shut his eyes. Maybe telling Seth my feelings was a mistake. I don't know what to think…
He stands, stumbling as echos of pain wrack through his body. He leans against the wall, his breathing heavy.
Zackary hugged his son close and shook his head. I can't handle another relationship. I can't ruin another life.
He collapses, pain making him shudder. He tries to calm down. His back seared in pain. He focuses. No… get out of my head…
I'll have to break it off somehow… but how? I really do love him…
He sobs softly, holding his head. Pain seared through him. After a moment the pain leaves and he goes limp.
Zackary heard sobbing and rose away from Jace carefully. He walked over to the door and poked his head out of it and called quietly, "Seth? Are you okay?"
He was quiet, his body in an awkward angle, completely limp and barely breathing.
Zackary grew suspicious and walked down the steps, spotting the other on the couch.
His face was contorted in pain as he whimpers softly.
Zackary walked over carefully and put a hand on Seth's shoulder steadily. "Are you okay?"
His eyes shoot open, his eyes wide with fear and pain. He sobs softly, resting his head in Zackarys shoulder. he white haired male cries softly.
Zackary's eyes widened with concern and he sat down on the couch.
"I-It hurts…" he whispers, motioning to his back, where two bumps could be seen. Those humps… were the remains of his once angelic and powerful wings.
Zackary looked down at them and his breath contracted with shock. "What… what happened?"
"My father took them from me…" he sobs softly. "H-he was jealous I could fly like my mother-" He stifles his crying, tears flowing down his cheeks.
"That's terrible… is it too late to get them back?" Zackary rubbed the other's shoulders to try and calm him down.
He nods, "They were taken from me when I had barely received them…" he whispers. "It's already scarred over."
"I'm sorry…" Zackary hugged the other close and squeezed. I can't leave him like this. That would be cruel.
