Mavi had fallen asleep and when Amel yelled she jumped. "Right. Dinner" her voice squeaked out. She stood and went to the kitchen, "wow what'd ya make?" She asked fully awaken by the wonderful smell.
Mavi had fallen asleep and when Amel yelled she jumped. "Right. Dinner" her voice squeaked out. She stood and went to the kitchen, "wow what'd ya make?" She asked fully awaken by the wonderful smell.
"Beef, green pepper, simmered in some spices from home!" She set plates down on the table.
Mavi gocked at the food. "Wow" she said sitting at the table.
Amel sat down across from her. "It's not much, but I thought it'd be good."
"Well one things for sure it does look good" Mavi continued looking at the food. She'd never start eating before given the okay. It was something weird she'd do that she couldn't really explain.
Amel plucked up a fork with a grin. "Dig in, then!"
Mavi picked up her fork and took a bite. She instantly melted into pure happiness and finished eating rather fast. "Oh my gosh that was good!" She sank in her chair.
Sure, the spices were spicy as hell (haha) but it had one great taste that had Mavi yearning for more.
Amel was only partway through her meal but smiled up at Mavi nevertheless. "If you think so, you can get more."
Mavi didn't want to be a bother, "oh, no its alright. " She said giving her best grin. She got up to wash her dish (bowl plate?) After finishing that too she crashed on the couch, "who needs a bed when you have a couch am I right?" She joked.
(Literary my logic)
Avel followed Mavi into the living room. "Sleeping on a couch is bad for your back!"
"That's what my mom used to say." She said laughing a little.
"Well," Amel said, crossing her arms, "she's right!"
Mavi groaned and sat up. "Ffffine," She winned and stood heading to her room. Since she'd moved out of her parents house the couch had pretty much been her best friend. But then again, Amel, and her mom where right.
Amel went into the kitchen to clean up from her meal. Soon she finished and went into her room, still humming the song stuck in her head.
Mavi hadn't fallen asleep yet, nor did she think she would for the next few hours. Instead she scrolled threw her phone watching cat videos.
(Cuz what else would you do at night? Sleep? Pfft.)
(Pff)
Occasionally, around one or two in the morning, Mavi would hear thumps from the other room, then muffled talking. It didn't stop. Literally went on.
ugh Amel what the heck are you doing? Mavi thought and got up to knock on Amels door. "Amel, what are those noises?" She called threw the door knocking as Well.
(uh your grammar is getting a little wacky, as well as your spelling and capitalization.)
Amel jumped. "N-nothing!" She sounded nervous.
(Sorry sleep depravion and auto correct. Not a good combo.)
Mavi raised an eyebrow and thought oh gosh "Okay well keep it down maybe?" She said and headed back to her room.
(Das okay)
"Yeah, sorry," Amel responded.
She didn't keep it down.
Mavi glared at her wall most of the night not really getting any sleep, good thing she didn't have work in the morning. Once the sun rose Mavi got up and made some breakfast, scrambled eggs and toast.
Amel didn't come out of her room at all, even when the food was finished. The talking had stopped around 5 o' clock that morning, so she was either sleeping or doing something else.
Mavi sat and ate her breakfast a little disappointed at its taste. "Amel," She called. How could one stay up all night doing who knows what? Mavi wondered taking a bite of the slightly burnt toast.
Amel glanced up at the door, rubbing tears away.
"Uh, yes Mavi?" She called back in a quaking voice.
That's weird, she sounded sad, "are you okay?" Mavi asked walking to her door concerned.
